Hiking in Pinnacles National Park | Moses Spring Trail to Bear Gulch Trail | Northern California

Published 2023-02-26
Pinnacles National Park is the smallest national park in California, but definitely do not underestimate it! Originally, this park was established as a National Monument by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908. This park was then established a National Park in 2013 and we believe that it is well deserved.

Pinnacles National Park was formed millions of years ago when volcanos erupted formed the unique formations. This park is famous for its' unique rock formations and caves, but more importantly that it is home to the California Condor.

We spent two weeks in Northern California and are so glad we added this national park to our list. We have been to 15 national parks together and this one has one of our all favorite hikes: The Moses Trail to the Bear Gulch Cave Trail to the Reservoir. This really amazing cave system is open when it is not bat season and is such an incredible hike. If you don't mind stairs and crawling under rocks to get to see amazing scenery, this trail is for you!!

We just spent a morning at the National Park because Sam was feeling a little under the weather so we just did the simple loop trail. That being said, we hear that the High Peaks Trail, Condor Gulch Trail, and Balconies Cave Trail are amazing!

About Us
Hey Y’all! We are Sam and Tyler.

Like every good love story in this modern generation, Tyler and Sam met on a dating app called Bumble.

Tyler and Sam quickly realized their complimentary interests and life-long goals over tacos and coffee. After 6 months of dating, the COVID-19 Pandemic hit and they looked for a creative outlet because restaurants, stores, and many campgrounds were closed. The couple started an Instagram called Travel With The One You Love and then later the blog and Tik Tok to channel their time and energy.

With Tyler’s background as an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and Samantha’s background with Photography from running her side hustle (Photography With The One You Love), the couple started documenting their local hiking adventures around the USA. The purpose of our blog is to inspire others to explore the beautiful world safely. Samantha aspires to teach others about photography, while Tyler aspires to help others understand the importance of LNT, Camping & Hiking Safety, and other Boy Scouting Philosophie
