From getting struck by lightning or meteorite, to getting into a car or plane crash, we shall dive into the infrequently talked about topics and compare the chances of dying from these unfortunate events. What are some of the most common mutations or diseases? Which natural disaster is likely to claim the most lives. What are your odds of dying next year or even tomorrow? Compare the area size of the heptagon to visualize the odds of such events happening.

1) This video is for entertainment purpose only, is not scientifically proven and should not be used as such.
2) Numbers presented sourced from numerous different websites/articles/books, and some have different probabilities for the same cause. Fact check with various other sources if you intend to use these figures.
3) Odds varies from different demographics, situational and geographical factors. The number listed may be for US or international, 2019 or 100 years ago, general population or specific groups. The sample are not known and may overlap.
4) For sources that list yearly probability, the formula to convert them to lifetime odds (assuming a 70 year occurrence period) is: 1 - (1 - "Odds of event not happening per year")^70. This may be inaccurate as odds would change according to age, as well as life expectancy.
5) Several odds that are not widely researched on (e.g. banana slip odds) are assumed and calculated based on total occurrence over total human population of 7 billion.
6) The causes are not mutually exclusive. Different conditions may lead to one another (Earthquake causing Tsunami, Hurricane causing Flood, Obesity causing Heart Attack etc). Some causes may be a subset of others (Fall from stairs & Fall in general etc).
7) Figures listed are rounded to 3 significant figures.

You’re more likely to die by murder than find a shiny pokemon
  • @novit101
This poor stickman has endured all the deaths.

I almost got struck by lightning last night, me and my cousin were outside and he noticed my hair was sticking straight up. It took me a second but we BOOKED it to our grandparents house (we were both staying there last night and they live across from a church and we were in the parking lot) after we had gotten inside (about 40 seconds later) lightning struck the spot I was standing..I will never forget that. My cousin saved my life.

Great video, Reigarw Comparisons! It's so interesting to see the probability comparison between death and other factors. As someone who is driven to succeed and challenge himself, I can really appreciate the data used in this video and the way it was presented. Keep up the amazing work!

One day, as a kid, I fell down from the 11th step of my home’s staircase, which had a total of 16 steps in it, but luckily, I survived it.
  • @henri7605
No one will talk about that sex kills more people than sharp objects?
  • @zenchi.zennou
Why is it, when a video’s talking about death, it’s always MY chest who starts hurting and I AM the one who gets all paranoid?? 💔💔
  • @scoape
"Sharks kill 6 people per year, but humans kill 100 million sharks yearly." That is not the law of equivalent exchange
  • We all know the most common death is falling in lava and losing all your diamonds
