10 years without Donkey Kong Country series - a special love letter video by Nimaginendo Games 2024

In this animation I bring together several elements from different Donkey Kong Country games, whether from the Rare or Retro Studios era.
It was supposed to be something better, but as it was so busy, this was the most I could do in just these few days. I made the sounds, scenarios, sprite edits, and new arrangements for existing songs on the VG Music website. I even tried to remake the song Canopy Chaos from the game Tropical Freeze, which would have been the initial plan, but I discarded it because it had a very strange sound compared to the original.
I also made the sound effects, using the same technique of listening and recreating the same notes, which I use to recreate some songs and sound effects (I also did this for Super Mario Wonderland). I already had other sound effects since 2021.
The recording has no lag sound because I used the cleanest source, without the assets from Kiddy Kong's Challenge. It is an older version of the same source that is used in the fan game. As it has few audios and few sprites and even rooms compared to KChallenge, the video recorder will not make the sound bad. But I still experienced some delays, however slight.
The story is that the Kremlings invaded the banana birds' paradise, Donkey Kong goes to investigate what is happening, as it has been a long time without their invasion. Donkey Kong ends up finding King K.Rool dressed as Lord Frederik, freezes paradise and now it's up to our dear DK and Diddy to save this place from K.Rool and his minions.
But what is K.Rool doing with Lord Frederik's belongings? Even I don't know. XD

Hi Nimaginendo, I have a video suggestion for ya. What if Super Tortimer was a real NES Game? If you've played Animal Crossing for the Gamecube, there's a special furniture item you can get from Tortimer on April 1st, it's called Super Tortimer. It basically looks like an NES game but you get an April Fool's message from Tortimer every time you interact with it. So it got me thinking "What if Super Tortimer was an actual NES Game? What would it be like?"

Nintendo you have to make a new Donkey Kong Country game now. Its been 10 years ever since we've had a new donkey Kong game since Tropical Freeze.

Thank you for the video, Nimaginendo Games! And happy Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 10th anniversary! I really love how you did recreate the style of the Donkey Kong Country Returns (3D) and Tropical Freeze games by using and modifying assets from the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy! Despite I also wanting a new mainline sequel game, my mindset is: a sequel must justify its existence by introducing new ideas or new interactions over old mechanics. Do not do a sequel just for the sake of doing it! However, I would love Retro Studios and Monster Games to develop a sequel in order to close down their trilogy and bring back King K. Rool and the Kremlings... and also Kiddy Kong.

It's been way more then 10 years since the last donkey kong Country game, last in was on snes and that was dkc3, returns and tropical freeze aren't dkc games, just not bad donkey kong games, but their no donkey kong country games game ply wise
