I realized something: in season one, Gordon swam in the harbor, in NWR origins, Alfred took a swim, and in this special, Crovan took a swim. All we need is Henry to swim, and the spectrum is complete!

I'm such a fan of the random Alfred cameos and flashbacks. He adds so much to a story in such a short amount of time.

even with the flashback of Alfred, there was no sign of his ghost. it appears that Crovan realized that he was slowly becoming like Alfred and thought it would be best not to follow in his tracks...

I'll just say this now: Alfred will NOT be appearing in Part 2. His ghost won't come back to haunt the engines and etc. I've already stated my first reason being I don't like putting ghosts in because it throws off reality but the second one is that Alfred is Richard's character from Sodor Island 3D. I've heard recently that Alfred has been used in the wrong ways and "degraded" so I want to be careful and show respect for the magnificent character created for Sodor: Dark Times.

Does anyone feel bad for Crovan? I feel very bad for Crovan, he had to endure so much when it came to being in Alfred's shadow a lot. Alfred was a pretty bad influence and Crovan took the brunt of it. I think Crovan has realized that he was beginning to act like Alfred as soon as he got into the same accident as Alfred and now I believe he wants to prevent himself from becoming the next Alfred. The way you did the flashback with Alfred was splendid. The sound of the heartbeat, the sound of Alfred and his scenes, and the look of Crovan underwater made my heart pound and I almost cried because I sympathize with Crovan. He realized the error he made and you can tell that he was regretting the decision he made because it was the same decision that Alfred made that drove him to madness. DarthWil3, this is for you and I don't know if you will receive it but I want to say it. Your voice is absolutely magnificent. Your role as Alfred is phenomenal and your role as Spencer was as spot on as your role as Alfred. I hope you continue to bring me chills as Alfred and pride as Spencer. Well done. The Flying Scotsman's voice was exactly how I would really picture him to sound like and it happens to be one of my favorite Scotsman voices compared to the other voices I have heard here on YouTube. You probably hear that a lot from fans, but my feelings are pure and true and I want to thank you for what you have brought to all of us. Awesome video! Can't wait for the next part! Love the banter with Gordon, Scotty and Spencer. Friendly chatter indeed and that one part where Scotty mocks Gordon's comment when Duck comes up was pretty funny. Oh dear.... that Alfred appearance.... this can either be really really bad, or kinda okay. This might have hit Crovin in the one place where it hurts the most, his pride. He does seem ashamed, hopefully if he does, he'll be a better engine than ever like Gordon was after his "fight" with Alfred after taking the number 4 title away from him. Can't wait to see where this goes!
