  • The changing likes/dislikes thing would also fix those “like for a free icon” levels which is a decently large problem with the community I think there was a level called tidal wave that did that that was above the actual tidal wave
  • along with the voting system, Rob should add another slot on the side that also shows the dislikes of the level separated from the likes, and the rates should be a menu you can pull up on the side.

8:44 There is actually "Streak Additive" option in the Option Trigger to switch the player trail normal additive blending or solid non-blending

I'm someone who likes playing the game Mario Maker and that game has a tag system where when you upload a level, you can give it a tag. So I had the idea of having GD do the same thing. (I wouldn't call this an original idea from me other people have talked about it before) You can give a level a tag for people who want to search a specific type of level. The tags can be listed as Music, Art, Puzzle, Adventure, etc. And when you play a lot of levels with a specific tag like Art, then there can be an Algorithm system where the game can give you more Art levels or whatever tagged levels you play the most. This can even apply for difficulty like you'll get more insane's if you beat a lot of insane levels. It can be a button in the game that says Algorithm and it can show you some recommended levels.

Dude all I want is for Rob is to fix the platformer leaderboards I'm sick of seeing IWBTG and stuff with the fastest time is 0.004 seconds like istg

The checkpoints one should be an option in the editor tbh

A stats tab (that opens when the creator point logo is clicked) for creators showing how many starrated, featured and epic levels they have (and how many of each difficulty) would be nice, especially for top creators. This might also allow a creator score system to be added, which is the number of creator points divided by the creator's number of rated levels, giving a score between 1 and 5. This kind of leaderboard would be better for judging how skilled creators are, even with a flawed rating system

Robtop could add the continue from last checkpoint but he should give the creator an option whether they want it enabled on their level or not

i think the achievements for practice mode are fine. i've seen too many players who are too stubborn to use practice mode and end up stop playing the game because it gets frustrating for them. also, even if you do beat it in 1 attempt, like in the example you gave, rebeating it in practice mode to get a color adds a sense of progress that is literally free and costs you about 2 minutes of your time, when you have nothing else to do and just want a cool color

My major addition ideas: -Better comments(replies/@s) -better voting (likes and dislikes showing) -more LORE!!! -ability for unrated levels to be community voted to Auto/demon(new NA/unrated demon difficulty) -ability to add a built-in epilepsy warning to levels -show if the level has ldm or not like in 2.11 because it got changed in 2.2 i think -new XXL length -customizable notifications(new rated/new followed creator level) -ability to add creators collab credits in built-in description/giving ALL creators cp There is alot more but those are my most important ones :]
  • @Wuggers99
2:26 I love this idea, but I think it should be up to the creator's decision, like in the options menu.
  • @ItzFlairon
I heard about what happened, and Im so sorry. Im glad you are ok. Stay safe man ❤

I really like all the featyres you proposed, mostly is just qol things and would help a little to the gd vanilla experience, but the idea of sorting objects by updates its like the best idea ever and I havent seen anyone say it, I really love the pre-2.0 deco but sometimes I dont remember wich objects exactly were added in which update si that would help so much

About the “replay from last checkpoint” I think the best way to do it will be to make a toggle in the checkpoint’s settings for “saving after leaving the level” that will also add some indication to the checkpoint (maybe slightly different texture), and set it to off by default. That way all the old levels will remain the same, levels like How To Platformer won’t break and will retain their difficulty that comes basically only from its length, but levels like that one FNAF remake will become more enjoyable (as FNAF definitely wasn’t made with an intention of being beaten in one go)
