" If you're alive, you should still be learning things" words of a smart man.
  • @N0RCO114
He definitely reads the comments. I once asked why he drives from the back seat and he made a whole video about it. 😂
  • @jbonn5365
Props to Steve. I love the fact that this video starts with a full on; "I was wrong, and here's why", completely owns it and even apologizes! Never change Steve. Keep learning... but never change!
  • @benrossbach6501
Prime example of why I am a channel member. The best people to learn from are at the top of their field and still learning. Thanks as always
  • @BornToKill780
You're never to old or experienced to learn something. Gotta love Steve for showing great example like this
  • I love the fact that you own your faults and tell us about it, so we don't make the same faults!
  • @puritan7473
Let's just appreciate the honesty here. Not only does Steve read the comments, he is the engine builder yet is honest enough to admit when he got it wrong. That is worth a ton!!!
  • @ManiacRacing
Even in a youtube comment section, there are usually a couple of people who actually know something. The hard part is sifting through all the dross to get to the pure alloy.
  • @aleks_jones
"If you are alive, you better still be learnin' stuff. Period." Truer words have never been spoken. If you THINK you already know everything, it's impossible to learn.
  • Now you're venturing into Gale Banks territory. Air density air density air density

Steve, I thought that thing in your hand is a coffee cup. See what I know?
  • @metalted6128
Super cool video! Every single person continues to learn, if they simply listen. Great video SME!!
  • @jarka1361
Just wanted to say I Love your videos!! I’m a disabled auto tech of 35 years and I miss this kind of talk!! And I DO LEARN something from your videos!! Keep them coming!
  • @v12alpine
Make sure the fueltech guys also program in a blowoff valve function for those E gates when you let off since you're removing the original BOV's.
  • @wesleymadsen4357
Never have I seen someone admit to the comment section I learn weekly from you...thanks

One of your videos saved me, from searching forever what the problem is. I did fight with my motorcycle nearly 10 years and could not figure out what was wrong. Everytime i did drive it, it hang at 6000 rpm. The higher the load the worse it did get. The mixture seemed to be to fat. But it cant be, because everything is original. i cleaned 5 times the carbs myself. 4 times let it do it from professional shops. Put many new parts in them. Leak tested the whole inlets. Tested compression. Tested valve lash. Tested camshaft timings. Measured the ignition parts with multimeter. New original airfilter. Three different exhaust, because the og one was rotted. Nothing did help. Then i saw a video, where your drag and drive was on the dyno and you talked about that you take out timing, before your engine hits the revlimiter. So that it does not hit as hard. And thats why your AFR was at that spot fat. IT HIT my like a freight train. The CDI lost the ignition curve from the factory and was at emergency operation. Since you can't test the ignition timing with a strobe light, because the whole thing would spray oil everywhere, i could never test that. Particularly not at high rpm's. I bought another CDI... Now it works.

I love that you are humble enough to say outloud someone helped you . Probably a reason I watch your channel and not really a fan of race cars. I do however love the paint job on the wagon!
  • @imimportantright
Did not see any snowmobile/sideXside engine content coming from this channel but im pumped for it!
