May is mental health awareness month so we made a Sad and Happy Monkey mod for Bloons TD 6! The Sad Monkey starts out sad and as you upgrade him he becomes more and more happy. Along the way we can learn some of the things that I've done to help my mental health over the years. If you want to see more BTD 6 content based around mental health let me know!

Beautiful video. 💜 Since working with Tewtiy to make art like this little guy, I have learnt to value myself so much more. Having a passion really does go a long way, but what goes even better is knowing how to balance it! Don't force yourself to be amazing, or beat yourself up if things don't go right that day. Reflect back on the progress you made and how you've grown along the way; that matters so much more than anyone's opinion, and none of us get to where we are for free. It's a journey, and having fun on that journey is what counts. As Tewtiy so beautifully puts it, there is no end goal. There is no "oh I guess I'm a professional artist now". I still have days when I hate my work! But Tewtiy has always been there to lift me up and give me opportunities for his channel, and I'm proud of myself and the journey I have taken. And it goes to show that there are people that love what you do too. You have worth, don't forget that. Thank you, Ryan. ✨ Oh, and if you can't get a therapy dog in particular, I recommend any pet, big or small! My mental health improved so much after getting a pet, they are amazing listeners and give you purpose.

Fun Fact: Before I became a dedicated BTD6 Modder for Tewtiy I had a passion for robotics, taking part in numerous robotic tournaments, being the lead programmer on a team in a world championship, and graduating College to be a robot programmer. I had a temporary work contract at a car manufacturing plant, but that alone killed my passion. It was nothing like Battlebots or the tournaments I attended to. 12 hours nightshifts with nothing but loud machine sounds, stuck wearing heavy work gear, putrid metal scent, programming equipment was outdated and tedious to use, and EVERYWHERE there were hazards. Literally vats of acid everywhere for preventing metal from rusting and cranes on the ceiling that could drop a car frame on your head at any second. Being there was torture to my mental wellbeing. As a BTD6 Modder I can work where I'm comfortable and at my own pace, so my mind is at peace. (The car manufacturing plant is probably going to replace all the programmers with AI anyways)
  • Tewity has the rare skill to be able to be funny and lovable, and serious and supportive and really helpful fo your mental health at the same time without being trained to. This video made me tear up

Dude, thank you for doing this video. My son Axel watches you regularly and sometimes has a hard time with his emotions. To hear the things you said in this video from someone he likes watching and can understand through your videos is such an uplifting thing for a parent to see and hear. Keep it up, Mahalo from Hawaii
  • @Project320
love how he has such great energy and enthusiasm for everything

Thank you so much for making this video. I genuinely got emotional throughout it because of how well you explained things and how you pieced things together and made me realize that, I need to change my mindset and focus on fixing myself for the better and not just think that happiness is just suddenly going to appear in front of me. Like my dad always says, “how do you climb a mountain, one step at a time”. Thank you tewtiy, we love you. ❤

My passion would be to help others with disabilities learn how to navigate life's obstacles, whether it be through therapy or educating parents and faculty on the diagnoses. Ever since I was little, I found myself wanting to help other peoplr with disabilities advocate for their needs and to nurture a healthy community/support system. I had done that without realizing all throughout daycare and school. Once I reached middle school, and reflected on my new-found diagnosis and depression (and all of the other psychological factors of my development), I realized that this was my passion. I wanted to educate the community on topics they were too scared to talk about. So I did. It was probably off-putting hearing a junior high student infodump about depression, anxiety, love languages, and disabilities, but I did it anyway. The community needed more acceptance and education. Mental health needed to be discussed. So forever onward since that time, Ive been advocating on the "taboo" topics of mental health & disabilities. Thats why I know I will enjoy hopping into the field of psychology for the next 8 years. :] Cant wait to learn some more psychology info! \^^/

As someone who is on the autism spectrum and has dealt with depression and bullying I can say for a fact that your videos have helped me go through some rough times. Thank you for making great content.

I can vouche for everything Tewtiy said because many years ago I was in a very rough spot. I was lonely, depressed, and I felt like no one truly wanted me around even though I rarely ever showed it on the outside. I would have a major depressive episode once every few weeks at a point. It had gotten so bad that I even considered offing myself just to rid myself of the pain and suffering. Things eventually changed when my sister lifted me up and helped jump start the process of betterment. I started to better my life one step at a time and eventually started meeting and hanging out with some amazing people. I feel way happier now than I had for the 4 years of my life drenched in sadness and depression. I attribute that change in emotional state to my friends, family, and even you Tewtiy as you have given me moments of joy and entertainment that I have cherished dearly. I can't forget about my dogs as well as they are some of the biggest joys of my life and I know that even if I have no one else to turn to, I will always have them as amazing companions. I have come a long way from wanting to off myself to now where I can fulfill a passion of making Bloons mods and become the first person to have created a 4th path for every single tower in the game. So, thank you Tewtiy for all of the amazing work that you do for the community and for all the people you have helped.

This is actually super sweet. Doing a serious take on an otherwise sillier game to support such a serious issue when the situation calls for it is one of the reasons why Ryan is such an awesome dude. Keep up the good work bro. You’re one of the good ones😊😊
  • Truth is ive had alot of issues in my life trying to constantly put me down. My own parents even put me down just because i cosplay. Its what i love and tbh I needed this. Thanks tewtiy ☺️. Your videos always make me happy.
  • @aamir6734

  • @Ivan_Imperator
“things that are easy aren’t fulfilling but things that are fulfilling aren’t easy” you are amazing
  • I've been suffering from a lot of depression, and other things since I lost my sister, and seeing you do something like this really makes the battle a little better, thank you Ryan for doing this
  • @oshi20205
I have been really sad these days because there’s nothing much to do the passion that I want is kind of out of my reach. Currently I want to become a lawyer study law and all these years of studying. I’ve still got a long way to go, but it is worth the effort and videos like these just motivate me to keep going when I’m at my lowest same with my friends and family and also when I’m really down my both of my cats know it and they always cling to me and I will always cling to them with love and if you guys feel down just remember you are absolutely amazing and maybe something is in your way and you just can’t get over it improve on yourself and better your mental state to come back to it and be better. Everybody love yourself no matter what happens to you I have once got a minor fracture on my legs which made me unable to move, and I couldn’t do anything for so long, but I kept my head up and waited till I could get back and show the world that I can come back better than ever from whatever throws at me

This video means so much to me. I’ve been stressed out recently with work and everyone yelling at me for not being goof at stuff. My girlfriend has helped me. She’s been there for me. This video makes me happy. It’s relaxing and carefree.
