June 28, 2024: Former President Donald Trump touched down in Chesapeake for a campaign event Friday afternoon as his campaign seeks to make Virginia competitive in the 2024 presidential election.

The Republican presidential candidate's event will take place at Historic Greenbrier Farms at 3 p.m., where he's expected to speak on Democratic President Joe Biden's economic record. It's his first event after the first presidential debate of the 2024 election season on Thursday night.
