Thanks man. It's a pleasure to be of service. Thanks for checking out the video. If you get a chance and feel inclined, tell the guys at Riffstation you liked the review. Have a great weekend.

I've been using Transcribe! all this time. This looks like it can isolate things a lot more effectively. Thanks for another great demo, Tim.

Hey Mike. Thanks for checking out my video. There should not be a conflict. I have a Line 6 POD HD Pro and I run Riffstation and jam over the track at the same time. The reason it works is because you're importing already finished audio to rearrange, jam over, or isolate tracks. If your outputs from your interface are going directly to monitors you can jam in real time. If not, then edit the song as you wish and export it from Riffstation into a track in your DAW and jam on another track.

Hey Tim, I plan on tagging an end of a song 3 times leading to the end on the one. In the backing track I'm using, the end of the song goes wayyyyy to many time of the guitar riff than the original song. I'm also adding a 3 tag ending because the original song fades out & you cant do that live. I took the original ending guitar riff on the 1234 & banked it AAAA so it would tag 3 times & it worked. However, I added a 5 for the end & instead of it tagging 1234123412345 its doing 123451234512345. I only need 5 after 123412341234 then 5. Non of the videos out there show how to delete. Maybe I'm over seeing something here. I could sure use the help bro! Thanks

Can anyone tell me any navigation keyboard shortcuts for Riffstation? I would expect the Home and End keys to take me to the start or end of the file, but they seem to control the Tempo knob instead. This should be simple, but I can't figure it out.

Man, I must be doing something wrong. I got the free trial last night & the chord finder & it has not found the chords for one song correctly yet. I mean out of 10 songs it has missed chords in all 10 songs. Some of them were not even close or similar chords. I could see an A minor being seen a C 6th or something but it's always way out there like a Am being called an Ab. Even in a straight 3 chord song it added extra chords that weren't there or missed them all together. To correct them is far more time consuming than just figuring them out in the first place. I can't help think I am doing something wrong in loading the songs up. Any hints?

Hey Tim how's it going, just checking out the software! So if I wanted to I could JUST have the guitar playing from a song and no other instruments? For example, any CD, Mp3 or other (YouTube video music) like Metallica and JUST have guitar or the bass part playing from any song?! Does it extract just a certain instrument and mute everything else? Can I extract vocals if i wanted (just to see)?! LOL Very interested in the software and you seem knowledgeable so thanx in advance dude!! Laterz

Just to be clear: you don't actually play your guitar through this application, right? You need an amp or something like POD, Guitarport, Eleven Rack or some other front end to your computer. Are there any conflicts between Riffstation and your guitar interface trying to access the sound "card" of your PC at the same time? TIA, Mike

Soundtrack Pro is a good basic sequencer, but I found it almost impossible to isolate a guitar or take a guitar completely out of a mix with SP. Also, slowing the tempo in SP made the audio very grainy and choppy, even when using the SP packaged samples. Accessing the tools and setting up the process takes MUCH longer in Soundtrack Pro than it does in Riffstation. For what Riffstation is designed for, it does far more efficiently than most sequencers, free or otherwise.

I know this video has been out there for a long while. but is there Any chance I might be able to find this software from anyone or any source out there ? I had it on a virtual pc (old xp system, running on vmware on a more current PC) Unfortunately, one little click destroyed everything, since it made the virtual pc go back in time, and used an old version as the current version, and overwrote everything and made the old version the primary version…. Blah blah blah, lol, but anyway, it was before my original Riffstation install, so it’s not there anymore, and I can’t find the original install exe. I’m not picky, I’ll take a Mac version or a PC version. Oh, as far as Fender goes, I think the issue was more about copyrights and legal hassles, so they just dropped it rather than fight the even bigger guys. Still, Riffstation and whatever was to become of it, was the carnage in all of this. Anyway, would LOVE to get a copy from anywhere, fun and useful software !
