The Acolyte reviews for series 1 episode 3 were not kind for Disney Star Wars new series on Disney+. Leslye Headland's The Acolyte tried a new style for Star Wars, bravely using creators that were entirely unrelated to the Star Wars audience base. Is The Acolyte worth watching?

Star Wars The Acolyte reviews were REALLY bad, but Disney and the corporate critics were ready. People were lined up ready to jump to it's defence, but not seemingly because they enjoyed the episode. But because the people they disliked, didn't like it. There have been many reasons why these companies have attacked the fanbase before, but what if it's just to give their new fanbase an enemy to ally against. A reason to come out and attempt to defend the indefensible. Because the longer time goes on and the worse entertainment gets, it seems that many people get more enjoyment out of the misery of the old audience, than the actual show itself. But what do you think? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

Turns out "The power of maaaanyyyyyy" didn't save them from either a handful of Jedi or a highly flammable stone temple.

I find it interesting that "making men uncomfortable" is not seen as extremely sexist, while any remark that can even borderline be seen as negative towards a woman is. Hypocrisy at its finest.

I can't believe Weinstein's personal assistant would call me a bigot.
  • @MatrixSJD
Imagine the backlash if some dude sat up there and said “I love making women feel uncomfortable”
  • Critical said a quote that was perfect not sure who said it originally but "Good writing tells you about the characters, bad writing tells you about the author" and no one wants to know about Leslie weinstein
  • Star Wars is like a type of cake that mostly Men liked to buy a lot. Then a new baker came to town and bought the rights to the recipe and decided to change it. However the Men found the result too bland and stopped buying it as much it , some even asked the baker why not bring back the old recipe as it was really good and everyone would be happy. The baker got angry and shouted at the Men to get out of their shop and complained on TV Men were making them go bankrupt and should support them or they were mean.

She doesn’t realize that she’s part of the “establishment” 😅

my grandmother always said. "I don't care what they teach you at school always remember, the force is a piece of string."😂😂😂

The show writer/s literally don't know how basic physics works. They think fire in space looks like a camp fire, and that stone burns like wood.

“ Thou shall not suffer a witch to live” Definitely a good suggestion in this case
  • Lesly headlamp talking about empathy after years of helping Weinstein really is Hollywood in a nutshel
  • @BlackGold-fc7tu
They obviously didn't make it gay enough. "We shall double our efforts" - Disney Star Wars "I hope so commander, for your sake" - Kathleen Kenndy

Acolyte gave us a meme for the decade with the power of many.
  • Why can't these people make their own movies and series and leave what already exists alone

It just occured to me that Mae is the personification of the creators of the show. Unable to cope with reason and logic, she immediately burns everything to the ground and blames everyone except herself.

What Ewan McGregor and Leslie Headland said about 'I don't consider them fans'... that's literally gatekeeping. And they are the ones complaining that the old fans are gatekeeping.

I am lgbt, female, progressive, and a Star Wars fan since i saw it in 1978. I find acolyte devisive, racist and exclusionary. The story is what is important... not pushing some extreme messege on others, be it feminism, masculinity, sexual attraction, racism, religion, and so on. Just let people be.
