    I know this video is old, but thanks for the details here! I feel like this is a position that I’ve naturally found myself in over the last year or so. I feel super comfortable with the overhook, in that they won’t have much chance to pass or submit, but I lacked the detail on getting the hip out. I was doing the overhook with them basically straight on. Lots of wasted time in rolls because of it. Now I have something to play with against white belts that like to go for the classic white belt cross face choke from closed top, lol.
