Well it appears that winter is upon us!!! Some snow started flying and we were not prepared... Luckily we got some more framing done and at this rate we may just get dried in before winter actually hits... we're preparing for winter in the mountains but we don't even know if we've covered our bases or not since this is all new to us... Im a 65 yo lady from WA state and I’ve been around residential construction my entire life since my father and grandfather were both framing and general contractors back in the day and my own experience is with construction as well, but on the admin planning, managing side of things. And we just finished building our own retirement home (with a GC) as well. I have very much enjoyed watching this series. Every week your 2x per week videos make me smile. I think your positive can do/will do work ethic is exemplary. You both rock. And you have some great helpers as well. Oh and good to see Frank with you again. Very Best Wishes!

I am beginning to feel like I have a vested interest in your house. I am a 66 year old woman and I am surprised by how interesting your house build is. I think you guys are doing something I wish I had done in my younger years. I seem to be living my missed dreams through you guys. You guys look like you know what you are doing. Allie, you are rattling off terms you didn't know 6 month ago like a pro. I'm sure you're familiar with the concepts of Situational Awareness. In your morning briefs and safety talks, throw in situational awareness ideas - like don't walk backwards without first looking behind you. You guys have the 'mustard'! Amazing progress.
