    You can set the number of steps for a pattern if you want it to be shorter than 16. You must do this before going in to pitch mode. Start with a cleared slot. Press and hold [function] then tap [step] for the number of steps you want your pattern to be. Now enter pitch mode and enter notes as described in this tutorial. If you have done this correctly, the time mode will reset after the number of steps you entered. Note that you can enter an unlimited number of notes in pitch mode, but only the last X notes you entered will be saved in the pattern. When you enter a rest or a tie, it will push notes out of your pattern, but in the opposite direction. It is very confusing, but it is easier to understand if you Imagine the notes written on a line. Notes entered in Pitch mode will push the whole stack of previous notes to the left. Rests and ties entered in time mode will push the following notes to the right.

    The muffler attenuates the high frequencies so if you're playing in a club it'll stop the harshness when you drive filter resonance.

  • This guy is the master of TB303 and TD03.. he just knows the stuff! It took me days to understand the TB303 back in the 90s and this guy just explained it in 5 min.
