vans pro tip: buy the “skate” version of whatever shoe for a better insole and a thicker upper for better durability

As a 90s soccer kid who later became a skater, the samba has always been a staple in my rotation. Glad to see it’s getting its moment to shine.

Thanks for the love Seth \\\

I’ve used my New Balance 990v6’s for work for over 4 months now, can confirm they are very comfortable and high quality

Loved the list😍 Air Jordan 1 and air maxs are also great every day options ☺️

AF1 for best all around comfort and looks, but a hidden gem IMO is the good ole Air Max 90. I know AJ1s and Dunks are all the rage these days for the collabs but The Air Max 90 is a good looker and comfy as hell on feet.

I have the NB 990 v5 and the construction is amazing. Def worth the extra $80 than most sneakers “retail being average about $110

Seeing ASICS be wavy now is so crazy to me. I’m here for it though, just ordered some 2160s today
  • The Air Max TW is sitting everywhere and it’s super comfortable if you like the Air Max look and feel. The Kushlon along with those giant Air pods. Also weighs next to nothing. Has killer hits of 3M all over it too. I love them.

Love that you added the Campus 00s. I bought a pair at the adidas outlet last May on sale, eligible for 30% coupon on top of that, got them almost half off and then they blew up a few months later. Look and feel great, tremendous deal. Biggest miss was Puma Suedes. Classic, comfortable, durable, good looking, lots of easily available colourways. And cheap, often on sale. Way nicer than AF1s or Dunks. And I won’t comment on ugly 2000s style running shoes.

New Balance really nailed the lifestyle shoe market. I really love their silhouettes from the 1906s, 990s, and 9060s. I recently copped a pair of 1906r and I really loved it. Now, I’ve been wanting to get a pair of Vomero 5🤩

godsend I was literally looking for new everyday sneakers since my dunks are beyond beat, I would love a new balance vid though since I really like the 550s
  • @duraynoodle
Old Skools and the super flat soles I actually find quite comfortable

Outside of the US, the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 is way on fire. Its obviously a more important shoe to Asics than the Kayano 14, and I see the Mexico 66 way out there more than any Asics shoes to the degree that the Mexico 66 needs to be put right there with the Samba and the AF1 as a serious competitor in the retro niche outside of the US of course.

Sambas are dumb nice. I have the pair you posted and I love them. Comfy, goes with a lot of outfits and just sustainable.
