Room Reverberation 101 in Less Than 12 Minutes

Published 2020-06-13
Norman Varney offers a crash course in room reverberation. This is a continuation of an educational series on audio, room acoustics, noise control and sound quality. Be sure to watch the end where he speaks from different rooms, including a fully anechoic chamber and a reverberation chamber.

Those interested in critical listening rooms, speech intelligibility and sound quality will be interested in this area of room acoustics.

So, I found a heap of sound deadening material abandoned in a parking lot. Its unfortunately been cut into asymmetrical parts from demoing or perhaps making it easier to dump. I know about the clap test but I was wondering how one could get measurements. I also dont know how one would apply the measurements to a solution. I will check out the channel more. I sub'd and liked after seeing the dedication to learning all of these things. Thanks for sharing your passion.
  • Thank you for this clip! This is a really great explanation, especially because of the historical examples of architecture you brought in.
  • absolutely amazing so happy i found your Channel. learning so much that would have otherwise taken countless videos and research
