The Plaid is weight-reduced and running on the stock Pirelli P Zeros on 19” wheels. (Backseats and most rear material removed. Both front seats are still IN PLACE, along with all door panels, airbags, mirrors, 20 stereo speakers and subwoofer remain intact.) These ~170 pounds make a difference of 0.11 seconds, as proven over 850+ timeslips (9.26 best went down to 9.15).

Welcome back. Nice variety of cars. Hope Greg gets the COPO dialed in again.
  • @SuperZcam
Poor Greg, always an issue, Thanks for the fun Andrew!
  • GREAT video as usual! I'm thinking that my hooking issues may not just be a result of the new blower set-up, (totally different power curve), or the track prep/heat in the track, but I have 20 runs on these Goodyear slicks, it may be time to change them. My last set, which were Mickey Thompsons, only lasted 20 runs.

My buddy bought a 23 GT500. Cost more than his house honestly lol. He put drag radials and went 9.89/9.90. We don't have to humidity and heat y'all have though. Thanks for sharing brother 👍
  • I super appreciate that you aren't afraid to show when you lose. Super classy, appreciate you
  • Like your channel like that you show the other cars and the drivers makes it more fun to watch
  • Always appreciate the quick turnaround on these vids, Andrew. You have other things you could be doing with your time rather than editing content. Much appreciated from Houston.

About to watch now!! Interested in what you and Greg are up to today
  • You had a nice variety of races. The "Stratus" was a monster! It was unfortunate that Greg didn't get good runs against you, but it was nice to see his earlier speedy run with better traction. It would have been nice to see the Shelby GT500 run against you (I love that color) but you probably would have walked him, so No Time, and the late leave. it was fortunate that it didn't rain after all.
  • On that last pass, your ETs up thru 8th mile were very impressive!
  • @mikeyc8139
Good runs! I wanted to bring my 2024 Model 3 Performance there that night but I don't have a fire jacket yet. It should run around 10.8 so it's my understanding I'll need that in addition to my helmet.
  • @snaky72
I still don't understand why people go to a race and then don't have any time. Otherwise, cool video. Greetings from Switzerland.

Those ford coyotes are awesome!! Check out snot rocket in drag and drive racing series. Wicked fast!!
  • Glad you’re back, we missed you. I’ve loved drag racing most of my life and understand what it takes to keep an ice car going. I’m just curious to know what type of maintenance is required for the Plaid? Other than tires, have you had any motor or battery replacement? It seems like your car is so consistent with little to nothing to do. Thanks, Ronnie
  • @alexd302
A quick question. Have you ever had the Plaid bog down when you launch? It happened to me twice at Sumerduck this week where my car simply sat there after I released the brake. It sat for about 1 1/4 seconds and then pulled away.???
