Happy to hear that you are enjoying România. Myself a Dutchman from origin living 20 years happily in România. Enjoy yourself, it is a beautiful country. Regarding stealing i personally in 20 years never had problems here.

Nate, truck driver here. If you’re sitting waiting in traffic you don’t get paid. Typically you’re paid cents per mile. If you’re picking up or dropping off a trailer, it’s called dead time and you are paid for that

Fantastic, have you considered doing one of these series in Asia? Feel it would be interesting to see how cheap you can live there, since whole families can survive on a dollar or two each day.

Be a bit cautious in southern romania. Once you cross the mountains into the Transylvania/northern region of romania, the people are more respectful and don’t aim to trick you.
