You Sir are the most skilled fitness equipment craftsman/engineer I have seen. Thank you for your hard work and inspiration you have given to DIY enthusiasts.
  • This dude got mad skills, u make it look easy man. Keep doing what your doing, can't wait for this channel to blow up.

Your pulley setup provides a 2/1 mechanical advantage, effectively reducing the load by half. So, for example, when you said "this is eight plates, which should be 120lbs" it would actually only require 60lbs of force to lift the 120lbs that is selected on the weight stack. This video was randomly recommended to me, so I don't know what type of stuff you typically do, if you already know this, or if you care. Just wanted to put it out there in case the information is at all useful.
  • If someone’s really worried about the weights crumbling, I’d assume spraying each plate with a truck bed liner spray or something similar would help with that. Maybe wrapping each plate individually or something too

very nice craftsmanship! I just found sturdy ceiling stud in garage and bolted couple pulleys, another one on wall and one on floor. cheap and fast, and I'm happy, I even do belt squats on it

I almost fell asleep watching this, not because it’s not interesting, because it’s an awesome build and watching it take place is awesome too. BUT, just like that hole saw, that music is BULLSHIT too. 😂 Nice work honestly though.
