Micro Transaction Mayhem In Tekken!

This video was meant to be released a few weeks ago but was wondering whether or not to upload it. Showed it via Patreon and got some opinions from friends to release the video. Let me know your opinions on the fighter pass.

The fact that people actually support micro transactions like these and call it "Necessary" its just a perfect example of how far gaming has fallen. A few whales have made it worse for everyone. Tekken 8 battle pass literally had shit from Tekken 7, and we had to pay to get those when they should already be ingame. Honestly anyone who supports micro transactions in fully priced games needs to stay far away from gaming imo.

The questions I have are "are you going to pay," "why are you essentially advertising the battle pass to us," and "are benefitting from Namco to do these sorts of videos?" I'm honestly surprised you aren't outraged at the idea of Tekken going full Scamco. You also say at 6:14 that you want to skip that "narrative." Not wanting to spend money on a cheap garbage like "ball" isn't a narrative. To answer your question, I'm not willing to pay for anything more than the game itself, but perhaps I'm just too old school in my DLC acceptance.

Its incredible how lazy a lot of the "new" clothing items are. Just take a close look. See that? They're mostly just re-colours of existing items. The folds in the clothes give it away. I can't wait for another bucket hat!

I love Tekken since Tekken 2. Only thing I'm willing to pay for are just the characters.

Im glad there is no fomo (as in the items aren't really good enough to care about missing) i wish they made it so you can still complete the season pass after it ends. Also the specific challenges would be cool if you could also still earn xp just by playing.

I personally was hoping (more like coping) they'd either get rid of the Fighter Pass altogether or make it more worth it, but this second fighter pass is just as bad as the first one. More T8 content creators need to speak out on how stupid this is cause clearly they're not listening to the fans. They're basically ruining the goodwill of the community for no reason.

Battlepass in any full price games is stupid, but of course, the dev put it there, hoping some player stupid enough to buy it.

The fight pass is the epitome of the maximum profit for minimum effort ethos. I will only buy legacy outfits for my chosen characters. No premium battlepass for me.

The fight pass is ok as long as you get the coins back when you finish it. Wish they had cooler things there but I don’t mind it. Even the store with classic skins is alright imo the prices aren’t outrageous either

People would buy tekken force if they gave us a live service game mode

once people clapped for DLC in tekken 7 with a big smile and widen eyes like cats bandai and harada had a big moment of eureka and here it is that is our doing

i had already given up on this game, it is not getting any additional cent out of me
