Our vision: to become the world's best remastering label (Classical Music Reference Recording)

Published 2024-04-17
Hi Classical Music Lovers, The "Alexandre Bak - Classical Music Reference Recording" label invests tens of thousands of euros in purchasing recordings and audio equipment to become the world's number one label for remastering legendary classical repertoire recordings. Having improved our skills, we are currently re-mastering each album published by the label one by one so that our editions are evidently the ones with the best sound quality in the world among all other editions. Every month, we offer a selection of five freshly remastered legendary recordings on our Patreon page at a friendly rate, and then the albums appear on our website at a regular rate. Sign up for free on our Patreon page, a gift awaits you, so you can see for yourself that we don't just talk a good game, but that we take concrete action to give you the best in terms of recording selection and the best in terms of sound quality. In this video, I present the 5 albums available on our Patreon page April 17 to May 16, 2024 (Last month's albums will soon appear on our website):

- Beethoven: The 5 Piano Concertos by Arthur Rubinstein (2024 Remastered, New York 1956)
- Bruckner: Symphony No. 7 "Adagio" by Wilhelm Furtwängler (2024 Remastered, Berlin 1942)
- Richard Strauss: Also Sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30 by Herbert von Karajan (2024 Remastered, Vienna 1959)
- Dowland: Song Books by The Saltire Singers (2024 Remastered, England 1963)
- Brahms: 16 Hungarian Dances, Variations on a Theme by Haydn by Antal Doráti (2024 Remastered, London 1957-65)

**As soon as an album is available on our Patreon page and then on our website, you can be sure it is the best remastered edition in the world.**

If your computer runs on Windows, you probably need extraction software like WinRAR (free

  • You’re doing an amazing and highly commendable work. To me you are the Criterion Collection of the Classical Music world. A huge shoutout also to your graphic designer. Classy and elegant sleeves are sadly largely neglected or given less importance in the business. Warner is one of the rare exceptions. On point typography (please be mindful of tracking and kerning, though) and inspired colour choices also add to the package. Beautiful work. I’d like to ask you however to never ever release your records on 180g vinyl. At least, until I’ve won the lottery.

How do avoid copyright issues? I love what you do.
  • Hello, this is my first time using your website. I want to ask if I can buy past data. I bought the five files plan this month.

I don't get it, is the whole idea of this enterprise taking copyrighted recordings, modifying them slightly ("remastering") and selling them for profit? This is illegal and unethical.
