I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and we lost him a few years back. Grandparents are SO special! ๐Ÿ–ค

My husband is terminally ill and we personally thank every nurse, every tech, and custodial employee for their hard work, dedication and support. I watch faces go from gloom to big smiles.

I'm Mexican and was in healthcare for 7yrs. Hands down the best nurses I ever worked with were Filipino. Yes, I realize there are great nurses in every ethnicity but TBH I never met a bad Filipino nurse. They all cared so much. When I started I worked all the time. Usually five 12hr shifts a week because I wanted to help everyone out (and TBH I liked the OT money) but that's why I can't do it anymore. I burned myself out so badly and destroyed my health - I worked overnights, developed a decent alcohol dependence... I got out right before the pandemic and I've never been happier or healthier

You are such a beautiful soul. I've been following you since almost the beginning. You helped me get through Covid...including the back to back deaths of my brother, neice and father. I will keep you in my prayers that you continue to help so many.

John!! I love your story about your grandpa. I can relate to it in many ways. I used to care for an elderly woman, who died one day after her late 88th birthday. She was struggling like your grandpa, was on a lot of morphine, quiet, and heavily breathing. Pressure sores, bed bound, and very weak. But she always kept me company, loved to sing, and loved her fruit punch juice. When she was dying in hospice care, ultimately, she awoke from her sleep to say "thank you" to her family and staff that wished her a happy birthday. I also believe in God, his angels, and the Holy Ghost, and I know Our Father and his band of angels was with your grandpa. Grandpa would be so excited and proud of your funny shorts, your big heart, and would love to see you smiling and making us smile! God bless.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My dad was also diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. He only got 6 months. It's definitely the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with, it's been just over a year now (May 20), still feels like it happened yesterday. Your father/grandfather is absolutely proud of you and the person you've becomeโค๐ŸŒน thank you for sharing your story.

Nurse John, I loved your 1st episode of, "I Beg Your Pardon"!!! The way you say it, I practically roll on the floor in laughter. Thanks for putting this on YouTube, I was kinda bummed out thinking it wasn't going to happen. ๐Ÿ˜Šโค

My mom is a single parent and I also came to the US with her where she became a live in caregiver. Your and your moms storyโ€™s is so similar to mine โค
  • God bless you John. Don't ever apologize for your grief. We don't ever "get over" losing a loved one. Keep living life joyfully. Cry when needed. Laugh as much as you can. ๐Ÿ’™
