the fandom basically created an entire amazing lore for this guy just from one simple pixel design and some hints to a "forgotten scientist" in the game and i love it

I love the idea of "Gaster created Sans" "Gaster is the strongest monster" "last breath" "Call of The Void" "Gaster created Deltarune" "After all, it's rude to talk about someone who's listening" Meanwhile Gaster just kinda vibing and having a void party:

*Genocide run occuring *Meanwhile, Gaster, vibing in the void

* You stare into the void... * You've been staring for hours now... * The void stares back...

I think there are 3 types of Fan art/interpretations of Gaster. 1. Cold calculating and methodical scientist, and an incredibly shitty parent, who fell into the void thanks to his own folly, doing whatever it takes, no matter how morally wrong it may be, to escape the endless void. 2. Tragic and somber ghost skeleton who is resigned to his fate to forever walk the world as less than a memory, watching his family and their friends go through all manners of adventures and timelines while being there, and not being there. Also usually tries to communicate with Frisk, and depending on the success of that, has a chance to return. 3. Tall genius skele-man who's a huge dork but also an amazingly good father and gentleman.

My absolute favorite part of gaster is the endless amounts of interpretations there are of him. We know so little about him, you can imagine him to really be anything. It's such a field day for creative liberty and I love it.

I love this, really fits the "he exists but not really" vibe.
