A long overdue update!

Unfortunately, things aren't going the direction I was hoping. But I'm the happiest I've been in my life :)

The bullet-points:

- Signatera & CEA bloodwork both jumped 10x in the past 4 mos
- Onco estimates I have 2 - 6 months left
- 3 options are: experimental trial of immunotherapy, old chemo again, or do nothing
- New spot on head of pancreas (biggest threat right now)
- Liver spot stable
- Lung spots growing a bit
- how cancer has made me happier

All my love and prayers to every one of you! I know I can't respond to everyone, but I feel your love, and I appreciate you more than you know! :)

— The Fixable Back Course: www.Fixable.me/ This is the exact approach I use with my patients, to get them out of pain, and keep their pain from coming back. If you have low back pain and it's not going away, this approach beats the pants off everything else I've seen!
— CBD gummies for sleep! I use the brand Hometown Hero (made right here in Austin!), and take the Peak Delta-8 Gummies: hometownhero.sjv.io/y25vBy NOTE: These are 100 mg per gummy — I split each gummy into 4 pieces (25 mg each), and only take 25 mg about an hour before bed. For me, they make me extremely relaxed, and feel like I’ve had about 3 glasses of wine. I wouldn’t take more than 25 mg at first, for sure. But they help me fall asleep faster, and stay asleep better than anything I’ve used so far!
— My favorite hamstring stretch! If you have low back pain, start here! (And you’ll see my brother John demonstrating the stretch!):    • Doorway Hamstring Stretch

My wife was diagnosed stage 4 pancreatic adenocarcinoma on August 2021. Tumor in pancreas, 5 lesions in her liver, and numerous lesions in her abdominal lining. Doctors said 6 months. Her report said palliative care and scheduled for 12 cycles of Folfirinox. She ended up doing 20. Suffered severe neuropathy. Had a PET / CT scan with no evidence of disease on June 2022. Was prescribed a targeted therapy pill Olaparib. 5 scans later is still cancer free today. Neuropathy is completely gone. She fought and she clawed her way for more time. There is always hope.

Wow...I've just been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from all of you. I don't even know what to say, other than THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart!! I feel surrounded by a warm group of friends, even though I haven't met most of you. I've been unable to keep up with all of your touching and heartbreaking comments, though I wish I could let you all know how appreciative I am. For all of you who are going through your own troubled times, please accept my deepest, warmest love and encouragement. None of us wanted to be in this situation, but we can all make the most of our trials, and hopefully find the deep internal peace we all wish for. Just, thank you!! ♥

My 31 year old daughter passed away from cancer 3 years ago and God is the only way I could survive because Jesus was with me and her. I will see her again.

My uncle was diagnosed with throat cancer and given 6-9 months to live. He got a second opinion, long story short that was 18 years ago and just celebrated his 85th birthday. Don't give up. ❤

I'm an old man and my body is telling me that I'm pretty close to the end. I want to live longer, and I want to enjoy life, but I can also accept the inevitable without too much grief. Ten years ago, I would have felt anxiety and trepidation. Now I just find acceptance. I only ask that it isn't painful, that it isn't unnecessarily prolonged, and that it happens in my own bed. Not really a big ask but it would be a blessing. I know that I have lived a full long life and that I made myself happy. I truly believe that my young adulthood was the golden age of America. It will never be that good again. I'm satisfied with my legacy.
  • After being a Marine, and seeing my mom (and best friend) die from cancer during hospice care in my living room, I thought I had more strength and courage.. You are a different breed entirely to be so positive. I hope you recover sir.
  • My 42 year old mother had stage four cancer and was down to 72 lbs at one point. I remember rubbing her sore back in her hospital bed and seeing and feeling her ribs, she was in so much pain and her doctors didn't think she would make it through the night. She made it through that night... and TWENTY SEVEN MORE YEARS! There were a lot of hard times make no mistake about it, she did suffer a lot, however she also had many good years and lived to be 69 years old. Keep the faith, God bless to all of you and your families.

I was a hospice nurse for seven years, worked with many terminal people during the rest of my career as a nurse. This life is not all there is. I have witnessed firsthand the most amazing things as people transitioned from this life to the next. My son has visited me many times, mostly in dreams since he died 16 years ago at age 32. Enjoy each day, love and forgive, especially yourself. ❤️🙏❤️

Please continue to post Dan. It’s impossible to reconcile how great you look with your diagnosis. I was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago. Mine is early stage. I agree. Cancer woke me up. I looked at a starling today and felt privileged to be able to observe the beauty of nature. Most of my life has been spent in a mental stew of reconciling childhood trauma. It is absolutely time to smell the roses. I’m 64 now and only beginning to appreciate the beauty in this world. It has also helped me find a more meaningful spirituality. Thank you for raising these topics and helping to teach us about the mindset cancer drives.
  • This is my first time watching your videos. The fact that you’re emotionally stable and composed enough to make this video a day after finding out that you’re terminal is absolutely mind boggling. To top it off you look relatively young and in great shape. Whatever path you choose I hope a miracle comes your way. Life can be so fucking unfair.

24 years ago I was told I had a year to live. Here I am. And looking this good! Sending you positive vibes.
  • @islaadele1212
Man. You can speak about this with such calm and self-possession. It's very hard to believe - you look so healthy. You clearly have immense mental strength, character, and an all important sense of humour. If anyone is going to defy a prognosis, I'd put my money on you. I wish you the absolute best.

My Mom was diagnosed w/ Stage IV colon cancer at age 50; received 5FU; had 3 colon resections & lived 40 more years. She outlived some of her doctors. One of her doctors thought she had died because she’d never called back.
  • Dan, I lost my husband to liver cancer in 2018 and yesterday I found out I have to have open heart surgery for an aortic aneurysm. I have to tell my children today. This is your legacy, your strength is giving me strength. God bless you, thank you for sharing your experiences. Much ❤️!
  • I'm a survivor. Fight. Don't give up...get a second opinion. My friend was given a few months to live and that was FIVE YEARS ago....she's still fighting.
  • @carole3708
My mother had breast cancer that spread. She was in her 60s. She is 99 today, still enjoying life. Keep the faith. You can and will win this fight.
  • @Nellah1
Yesterday I was told cancer had metastastised to my brain. I had major surgery in Nov and have been feeling much better. Your video reflects my situation perfectly. Focusing on the good, sharing as much positivity with you and all of us on the final laps of our personal human race. ❤️
