The Indigo Child Phenomenon: Signs and Traits to Identify if You're One

My oldest son’s kindergarten teacher told me at the first conference of that year “ I can’t teach him anything. He already knows everything. “ He’s 34 now and is very VERY successful. Firefighter, paramedic, extremely intelligent. Everyone who meets him recognizes is HUGE heart and very giving nature.

I remember a decade or more ago when I first started learning about Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow Children. I cried so hard because I knew without a doubt that they were explaining all of my traits that no one else understood about me. Born in 1960 I was told the whole of my life how “different” and “unlike anyone else” I am or “You’re too sensitive! ” as if any of these qualities are things to be ashamed of…I was consistently ostracized for who I was so I withdrew—a lot. And for an orphan foster and adopted child this was unbearable. Needless to say, I grew up always feeling empty, deeply misunderstood and yet somehow I was most comfortable in the solitude I was placed in and yet preferred, my aloneness, my own understanding of the world, drawn immensely to animals, the earth and others who are not unlike me.

I’ve dealt with addiction throughout my youth and early 20s, I have always felt different from others, my pure intentions get me hurt over and over, the deep empathy I feel for others is a blessing and curse in todays world. My parents are also extremely intuitive, I’m learning to listen to them and my gut feelings❤

I checked off I think everything that you described. So I'm a Highly Sensitive Intuative Empath, an Indigo Child and a Pleiadian Starseed. I also had a dream about E.T.s coming to Earth and meeting them last night. One even embraced me. It was amazing, I felt so much joy and peace and told them how happy I was to meet them. ❤

Indigo children started coming in right after WWII. They were the core of the revolutionary 1960s.

I’m 43 and while I kinda already knew this in a way, I didn’t care. I cannot stand spiritual narcissists and how they flaunt being a “crystal child” or whatever. So for that reason I’ve pretty much rejected this label. But after listening to this description it’s me exactly. I’m a lifepath 11 so it resonates with that too. I guess I find it odd because I haven’t done anything profound in my life. If anything I caused a TON of damage before getting sober 13 years ago. Now I am coming into my potential and will be teaching art in secondary school. I haven’t figured out how I will make much of a difference yet. 🤔

I can identify myself as being highly spiritual and rebellious against injustice and lack of respect, maybe I don't trust people easily and it's ok, it's very difficult to trust people nowadays. Very interesting article,thanks for sharing.
