Darkrai wasn't always portrayed as evil. In the Darkrai movie, he is shown to be selfless and protecting of the people of the town, but is mistakingly blamed for effects of Dialga and Palkia battling around the town.

In the movie Rise of Darkrai.. Darkrai was not the villain.. he actually was trying to stop Dialga and Palkia from fighting. And he only trapped Humans in nightmares so they;'d sop interfering.. Darkrai was doing what Giratina could not

darkrai is the best pokemon.He is not evil he just can't control his awesome power so he hides away and creselia (or however it os spilled) knows that that's why it never killed him it could of if it wanted plus if he was evil why did he sacrifice his life to save the town?

According to Prof. Oak, no Pokémon is evil. A Pokémon raised by it's trainer takes on it's trainer's characteristics. Therefore, if the trainer is evil, the Pokémon will be evil.

Darkrai isn’t evil, just misunderstood. I watched the Rise of Darkrai a long time ago (also the reason that he’s one of my favorite Pokémon), and there, the only reason he gives nightmares is to warn people of the battle between Palkia and Dialga. He then ends up trying to end their fight, even though it causes him harm. So darkrai is a good boi at heart.

what if the darkrai movie happened after the mystery of dungeon event? Like when palkia destroyed the dimension hole in the game, darkrai was transported to alamos town (movie 10) , meeting alicia while heavily injured and also suffering from a memory loss

Darkrai is the reason why I can't do free battle in X and Y because most of the time, I would end up facing a noob with a full team of legendaries with Darkrai up front and spam dark void...
