I think dude-man's tighty whitey's 🩲 are a bit too tight. You did nothing wrong. He's backing up in a congested area which is a pain and it's his job to yield until traffic is clear. You even tried to scoot out of his way a little quicker so he could pull out. I don't know what his problem was.
