"All of their songs sound like they could be one long song." Yes, and AC/DC is very proud of that.
-
Joel learning about the "So gangsta, I'm so thug" line completely made my day
-
My heart soared when Bon Jovi came on the screen---then dropped when Joel started making fun of them---then dropped some more when they lost to a lame pop song š
-
My picks: 1. Thunderstruck (AC/DC is awesome, itās really up there for me) 2. Itās my life (love me some Bon Jovi) 3. Smells like teen spirit (I love every nirvana song, they are all so good. Kurt youāre a legend) 4. Crazy train (Ozzy is awesome and I love his voice) 5. Welcome to the jungle (guns n roses is my favorite band!ā¤) 6. Pour some sugar on me (def Lepard is awesome) 7. Here I go again (classic) 8. Girls just want to have fun (amazing, cyndi all the way!) 9. Jump (love Van Halen, heās really up there too) 10. Poison (I love Alice cooper, Something is wrong with Joel) 11.Another one bites the dust (another classic) 12. Walk this way (Aerosmith is so groovy, love āem!) Rock: 11 Pop: 1

"Just Elmo going nuts" is the best description of AC/DC I've ever heard
-
Imagine even struggling to choose which song is the most iconic between Smells like teen spirit and Teenage dream
-
Would've loved to see some more 90s rock in here. We had Nirvana followed by 27 hair bands and Queen.
-
Iām impressed with how Joel was able to like So many Rock songs over the pop songs I was thinking heād be opposite lol
-
Yes you finally did AC/DC and as a huge fan of them I'm proud. Also Angus young himself said that: "I'm sick and tired of people saying we have 11 albums that sound the same we actually have 12". ( This is from a interview a while ago)
-
I think my only major issue with these videos is that the Rock examples are all older songs and the pop is modern. I feel like it would be more interesting if the rock and pop from the same era were compared.
-
im a simple man, i see kurt, i click, and the fact 5:11 is the most replayed moment according to the new youtube stats thing (that is very useful) says that Im not alone on this one.

Pop can never win over rock. When he said that all the ACDC songs could be one long song, I lost it, because practically all pop songs sound the same.
-
as a rock fan, when he said that dangerous woman "was practically a rock song" it almost kills me
-
Watching Joel's eye movements during dangerous woman is genuinely hilarious. Good try, Joel. Good try.
-
8:34 I love how slash can look so menacing sometimes
-
I'm 35 and I was in LOVE with Nirvana and Guns N Roses as a teenager and into my early 20s, no youtube or anything then so I wore the cds out and just know all their songs on all their albums just inside out and back to front. I don't listen to them so much anymore but I get freaking goosebumps listening to some of these tracks you picked and I swear none of these pop songs will ever hit like that. You picked some bangers on the rock side. I choose every rock one.
-
I'm starting to think that Joel knows every song which Max Martin had a part in creating
-
I love songs that arenāt exactly rock, but have that āperfect blend of pop/rockā vibe to it.
-
Smells Like Teen Spirit is the most iconic song EVER. Nobody can beat it. I don't think it's my favorite song, I don't think it's the best song, but it is definitely the most iconic song, so I think it beats every song.
-
I would choose Smells Like Teen Spirit over Teenage Dream, honestly, though I like both.
