I have some speculation on Purin. In my version of Hypno's Lullaby V2 I have, it sends me to Safety Lullaby. I thought it was a remix at first till I realized my mouse cursor was active in the window open. I tried clicking everything, but when I clicked the Pokecenter in the back, it crashed. I have a theory that Pico and Girlfriend are a tag team, trying to find Bf together. Girlfriend says outside and fights Hypno, and Pico goes into the center and finds a random deformed Jigglypuff. I think that was the original way to unlock Purin.

(7:53) The frowny face is actually a refrence to a red fleshy creature from the "Godzilla NES" creepy pasta named well RED
  • 7:51 The Smiley face which is called Evil Otto is the main villain from a arcade game called Berserk. I’m assuming it’s there because A: Evil Otto is extremely psychotic. B: Some people died while playing. (This is a true event) And the Frowny Face is from the NES Godzilla Creepypasta. Where a boy buys a copy of his favourite game from his childhood, Godzilla: Monster Of Monsters. However, he notices there are many things wrong with it, including that weren’t originally in the game, cryptic messages and symbols revolving around a tragedy that happened in real life and a evil entity called Red. Red is the frowny face and the face appears during the signature “RUN” segments during the creepypasta. I definitely recommend reading it especially if you like Godzilla! (I probably explained this really badly)

8:41 That's GB. I think he's from Mario Madness. (GB is a Mario) 8:30 Above is Tomino Hell. 8:30 Below is the MARIO face named Victim 1, from a Super Mario World creepypasta (or ROM hack?). 7:47 The frowny face is Red from the NES Godzilla creepypasta. 7:47 The smiley face is Evil Otto. 7:47 That's not Gaster, that's Uboa.

A theory I have as to why Mike is smiling is due to delirium caused by asphyxiation. I know the common rumor is because it's from Steven's perspective and Steven might think that Mike is smiling mockingly at him, but that wasn't what I initially got from my first impression of the Dissension level
  • @aimazeki
Fun fact this character that walks by isn’t Luigi but GB from Mario’s Madness, edit the red face in the slot machine is RED from Godzilla.exe(the creepy pasta). Also the choose your charter screen is from Mario bros 2
  • @mich4582
One of the pictures on the right is a reference to the MAR1O creepypasta And that is NOT Luigi, his name is GB and he's owned by Marco Antonio (Direction/Main Artist for Mario's Madness and drew the MX sprites for Pasta Night) And the frowny face on the POLYBIUS arcade is a reference to the Godzilla NES creepypasta
  • I love how Gold is required to fly with balloons, because he has no limbs. It’s actually quite cute.
  • @danielc2894
7:50 Actually, that isn't Gaster, it's a mysterious easter egg character who I believe was from Yume Nikki, named Uboa, and was actually the inspiration for gaster's design
  • I honestly love Death Toll. The creepypasta it’s based off is cool, the song is amazing, and Hell Bell’s ringing is so satisfying.
  • @Setriba
8:30 The images from top to bottom are an art piece titled 'I can't be a bride anymore' , commonly associated with a poem called 'Tomino's Hell' and an image from the creepypasta named MARIO
  • @Rabbid4240
7:50 that's not Gaster, that is Mr. Uboa from Yume Nikki .The smiley face is Evil Otto form the game "Berserk", and the frowning face is Red from the NES Godzilla Creepypasta

This is probably the best mod to exist. And your facts make it better. Thank you for taking away your time to tell us these interesting facts . Cool video in general.
  • The bottom picture at about 8:30 is Victim #1 from (as TV Tropes called it) “Mario by M A R I O,” a creepypasta ROM hack of Super Mario World where the levels are barren, basically all of the friendly NPC dialogue is openly hostile or mildly concerned to Mario, and the whole thing cuts off after the first Koopaling boss fight, which adds text from an autopsy about the aforementioned Victim #1 (horrifically mangled and burned, covered in unidentifiable fingerprints, eyeballs inexplicably missing). The implication is that Mario went mad with power off-screen, committed some wanton horrific murders, and then turned around wracked with guilt, deciding to take his own life to escape the consequences of his actions. Victim #1 also starred in the Mario ROM’s dedicated FNF mod (aka Funkin’ ROM) and got a song in Mario FNF port. Her songs in both are bangers. Oh right, I forgot to mention that her autopsy established that she’s a woman.
  • 7:53 The frowny face is a caracter named Red from the Godzilla NES creepypasta where he is a large, powerful monster that stalks the protagonist throughout the pasta and is the main antagonist, check it out Godzilla NES is one of my favorite creepypastas ever made

Although it's not the same mechanic, MX using a POW block is a reference to Powerdown, his song from Mario's Madness. On the same topic, the fact that Lord X doesn't change anything when playing as MX or Hypno is because Cycles, his song from Vs. Sonic.exe, didn't have any mechanics. Also, Pasta Night is made by three composers, each being contributors for FNF Lullaby, Vs. Sonic.exe and Mario's Madness respectively. May or may not be intentional, but I find interesting these kind of details.
  • @ness6714
Personal headcanon for Pasta Night: Lord X's Pokedex Entry states that any game he plays is bound to be deadly. While he doesn't do anything malious to MX or Hypno by not having a gimmick, his gimmick could be interuptted that he wants US to experience both the gimmicks at the same time. Could be a reference to VS Sonic.exe where his fourth wall breaking hints that he could kill BF at anytime, but plays along for fun. tl;dr, MX's gimmick is making you suffer.

It's nice that this cool facts about Hypno's lullaby got another video
