MatPat made a cameo and then he dipped

the irony of a fnaf movie video being delayed is hilarious to me

The one thing I love about the FNAF movie is that Jim Henson's Creature Shop did such a great job with creating the animatronics
  • About the horror, I always bring up Coraline. The idea kids movies can't be scary is bull shit when Coraline exists. A pretty spooky kids film. I think horror rated PG-13/PG, is important to get new fans of the horror genre.
  • Can’t believe it’s been six months, the hype was absolutely insane considering it’s hellish development cycle, and hearing the living tombstone in the end credits felt like yesterday. Wow, and now I’m waiting for the sequel

I think going on a friday night surrounded by at least 50 other people who grew up with the game really made the movie special for me. Not as fun on rewatch, but the atmosphere and childhood wish fulfillment aspect of that night was just.. unforgettable. The staff were even in costume too and had set up a little scavenger hunt in the lobby. I still have my fnaf pizza box from that day saved.
  • I think people forget the best part of the movie: motherfucking balloon boy. He has NO contribution to the plot, he only shows up THREE times in the movie, and every single time is a genuine fnaf 1 style jump scare, out of LITERALLY NOWHERE, returning to the plot immediately after it happens. Best character 20/10
  • It’s kind of crazy to hear that the FNAF movie went through so much production and script delays to have it finally be released, only for people to only talk about it having MatPat in it. I feel like if the movie was released in the 2015-2018 it’d be more remembered.

The movie is a lot like the Mario Movie. It took a long time to make, critics and audiences completely disagree with each other, but they're lots of fun to watch. I do kinda wish that both movies had more to them. The Mario Movie having the Charii5 rewrite, and FNAF having an R-rated cut.

If Matpat was revealed to be William Afton, that’ll make the movie peak

Fnaf, the video game still legitimately frightens me in some weird primal way. I’m pretty disappointed that the movie wasn’t even remotely scary. It’s the bizarre paradox where children become interested in horror media because it feels taboo and edgy, only for that franchise to start pandering to them and getting rid of what had them hooked in the first place.

"I guess he was just on a weekend fishing trip, saw an unaccompanied minor and thought, "oh what the hell?""
  • @MistaBrando
My Mom and I laughed at the fact no one seemed to care about the evil aunt being murdered at Mike’s house.

Universal really needs to chill. Glad you finally got it out.

"It's a kid getting their head chomped off dude, how rad would that be?" LS Mark 2024.

22:26 What do you mean “they took the approach that later took center stage”? The animatronics have always been possessed by dead children, confirmed in the first game by the newspapers on the wall. The animatronics simply malfunctioning and seeing you as an endoskeleton was likely a lie told by phone guy to keep Mike from panicking.
  • Can’t believe Mike Schmidt quit baseball just so he could be a FNAF security guard…
