Whoever operated the lights that night was a king.

I genuinely feel sorry for people who aren't into this type of music

Metallica fan or not, you cannot deny how awesome 6:48 looks and sounds, don’t care what anyone says
  • Kirk playing the solo in this sounds EXACTLY like the studio recording. Sounds amazing
  • Holy shit that’s the best live version of anything I’ve ever heard!
  • I was at this show, I was 14...It was electric. They killed it. Clean set, no mistakes. Key Arena was a good place to see a show.
  • My dad was at the '89 concert. He got thrown over the fence, right in front of Kirk. The story is incredible
  • Way more better than the album version. vocals, guitars, bass, drums, everything sound excellent. What a great band they was back then...

I love the way Jason just straight up took Cliff's mantle and owned it. He was the energy and fire they needed after Burton's death.

Man the lighting during the breakdown is insane. The shots of Lars thru the flashes is straight out of a horror movie
  • @cezar6669
my god, that flashing light in the breakdown was insane
  • One of the greatest anti war songs ever made, and it's entirely a reference to Johnny's Got His Gun, which was an anti war book written after the first world war. This song is absolute art in it's finest form.

I truly believe if Mozart was to somehow been able to hear this he would have loved loved loved this. I think he would have been amazed. There is so much classical qualities to Metallica's music...
