I like the theory that the protagonist is a creature called the babayaga it would explain how old they are the flooding rain and the taste for human.
-
I think the butcher is more of a role rather than a person, Potato might’ve been the last one, and the one we play was the only survivor of Potato. It’s implied that Karin would take over the role as the butcher if the one we played died.
-
No matter which ending, everybody still dies? Brings a whole new level to the phrase "you just can't win".
-
The ending where we see a new chompette, the turnip, I get why is easily to assume it is Karin. However, is clearly stated to be a he. So, is more likely to be Gregor, considering his death was the most impactful to the protagonist (of this group).

When Karen's face changed that was creepy as hell.

I'm surprised you haven't had a heart attack when watching all of these horror types because if I just watched one I would drop dead.
-
This is, genuinely the most disturbing game I've ever heard of.
-
Cooking companions is still my favorite horror story reading game. It's actually terrifying and I really want a 2nd game. Maybe it could be about what the chompetts dealt with

I was screaming at the mention of manlybadasshero. He’s really doing some archivist level video game documentation with how thoroughly he plays through games like this.
-
A new whole meaning on "You looking like a snack"

Ah dang 18:16 the pounding on the door made my heart race and my anxiety peaked to the maximum.
-
The part that fucked me up the most about the game was that Mariah was my favorite character. I knew the game was disturbing but I was holding out hope that there was an ending where I could at least save her… Only to find out that not only is there no such ending, but that I, the player, was the one pulling the strings behind it all.

The Butcher: kills 5 people in one night

I'm not being hyperbolic/exaggerative when i say that this game, its art, themes, and general subject matter genuinely kept me from getting good sleep. After getting attached to Mariah, Anatoly, and Gregor genuinely made me feel like shit during the game. Especially after being confronted with their rotting corpses/visages in the basement and seeing their faces twisted, bodies drenched in water/blood (For Anatoly and Mariah), or sinisterly intact, as with Gregor's. The art in this game is seriously undersung. It's what kept me up at night. Specifically the main 3's art. Its an awful, horrific mix of still alive and half-waterlogged/rotten.
I've played through it with my friends, each voicing a character in the game. They were also stunned by the twist of the game and the art direction of the ghosts.
Seriously good game and astonishingly good video. Keep it up, my man. 💕 -
"I need a cooking companion, so I will chose you"
"But i can't cook at all"
"I'm never saying you will became the cook"
