“Being a good editor requires you to be emotionally detached from your footage.” the most honest thing I’ve ever heard a youtuber say. Well done!
  • I know of several people who started YouTube Channels and stopped once they realized how much work goes into a 20 minute video. A proper 20 minute video takes hours to make. Great video and subject, marvelous job!!
  • @ruriohama
This is one of my favorite videos on Youtube!
  • "Don't let the lack of gear stop you" is one of the best advices ever, great video!
  • @djcarlo
    Quality quality quality! Good stuff!
  • @PickACharm
I hadn't thought of taking the mic into my wardrobe - what a brilliant idea - I'll see if it works for me!
  • @bigthought195
The moment we see your script we can tell this a professional film maker. Exact detail of every shot, lens type, shot type frame by frame wow 😳
  • Mathew should have his own netflix show or even a vlogging channel his life is really normal but he still makes it exciting
  • I’ve been feeling anxious and over-thinking videos i want to make. Thank you so much for this! I don’t know if it was your intention, but by you showing a systematic process, it helps make me feel more inspired to make videos. Making a good YouTube video can feel overwhelming, but this process makes it feel like we can all do it too 😀

Thank you for the video. The biggest takeaway for me is this: 4:57 "Being a good editor requires you to be emotionally detached from what you shot and solely focus on what you're trying to communicate."
  • @miggylol
Love how the music matches your transitions perfectly. Genius
  • @Nguyen9191
I'm not a video creator, but after watching this video and getting an inside look with the breakdown of the process, I definitely feel more empowered to take steps towards starting. Love the content Matt!
  • @sharonho754
I love how as a Futur-follower you get to see how the individual members in the team grows and becomes successful in their discipline outside of the Futur. Once again thank you for the great content!
  • I have always dreamt of creating an educational YT channel but I have always been so insecure and scared of failing. Now I can see much much work it requires to produce a video that would attract some attention but still it didn't discourage me. I wish my students found my videos as visually pleasant as yours. I just love them and that's why I subscribe. Pure inspiration.

Matthew, this video is sooooo good. Like all the other videos you've created. I can seriously just keep watching your content all day. Your style, pace, editing, b-roll, and not to mention the actual value you're sharing in your explanations/lessons.... it's so good. Excited for your course to drop!
  • @Freespirit512
