"Radetzky March" is a march composed by Johann Strauss Sr. and dedicated to Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz.
About the composer:
Johann Baptist Strauss I (1804 - 1849) was an Austrian composer of the Romantic Period. He was famous for his light music, namely waltzes, polkas, and galops.
Some notes about the video:
This military march has been performed since its creation, it was originally created to commemorate a victory by Marshal Joseph Radetzky, but later it was used as a regular march of Austria or Austria Hungary. Not only before the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, but also after that compromise. That's why you can see pictures or scenes related to the Austrian empire (1804) and also the Austro Hungarian empire.

My grand-grandpa was a Tiroler Kaiserjaeger. He served in Russia in WWI and then he fought on the Italian Front. He survived.

During my primary school music classes in my old country Macedonia and also every January 1st, there was a live broadcast of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra New Years day concert on the Macedonian national television. Everybody waited for this March to be played, and usually that was at the end of the concert. Danke schonn Österreich für gütten muzik und kultur im der Welt!! Österreich uber alles!!

I miss this guy's. I saw them when I was a young boy. When I see this movie trailer the glory of seven today so many memories come to mind. I wish I could back return in those glory times of film history. Thanks for uploading.
