I thought he was a wonderful actor and a genuine man. I read his life story, and watched Rockford Files regularly. His character and strength really shined thru, in life as well as any character he played. I loved him. Thanks for the great video.
  • I had a crush on him since Maverick and often wondered if he was as truly charming and nice as he appeared on film. This says he was. I'm glad.

Love that man and anything he was in. My favorite is “Murphy’s Romance.” “How do you like your eggs?” (I’m 60.)

I am invested emotionally in any film James Garner had a role in. Either playing Maverick or playing opposite Doris Day, count me in.

Oklahoma born hunk of a “Man” 😍 Hubba Hubba, I loved James in the movies 1963 “The Great Escape” & 1985 “Murphy’s Romance”, their’s really too many great roles/movies to choose from. As a young teen girl in 1974 I’d plop down in front of the tv to watch the “Rockford Files” where he played private eye Jim Rockford. It’s wonderful and shows his true character, when he took on the role of a loving stepfather to his wife’s daughter, he’s a sweetheart.

His character of elderly Noah grieving over Allie at the end of The Notebook still breaks my heart.
  • James Garner's life was truly a testament to resilience and fortitude. From his early struggles to his later battles with health issues, he faced adversity with unwavering determination and a sense of humor that endeared him to fans worldwide. His legacy as both an actor and a man of conviction continues to inspire generations. Rest in peace, James Garner.

One of my favorite James Garner movies was ‘Cash McCall’; good story and excellent script. I wish it was on TV more often, or even updated & remade.

I loved Rockford Files AND his other shows he was in. I especially liked the movie with him and Julie Andrews.
