Review of lethalgaminggears newest mousepad, the neptune. A smooth "micro textured" speed pad with some unique qualities. This shouldn't be too fast for any game imo, especially if you're used to quicker pads

It's a really strange pad but I think that makes it interesting. I swapped from a Gamesense Radar to this one and was surprised that it didn't feel "very fast" like it was described and actually feels closer to a control/balanced pad in practical use aside from it's low dynamic friction. It also has a strange feeling where it's very smooth to the skin, but the pad feels textured on the mouse skates like a Hayate Otsu. I'm not really a fan of speed pads but this one is actually the first one I've liked since it keeps a moderate amount of static friction with a lower dynamic friction than balanced pads. It's similar to a worn in Hayate Otsu, just without the weird tugging feeling when stopping a motion. It doesn't have the slippery/inconsistent dynamic friction I've experienced on the Otsu either, it's very consistent at the moment.

Hey Boardzy, with these non raiden pads like this and the gamesense LiDAR how does the Neptune compare to the lidar other than the lidar being a much smoother pad? Have a great day man I got on my work break and instantly tuned in.
  • Does this feel faster than the non-pro lamzu energon by any chance? could be shocking switch for me
  • Could this replace my endgame gear mpc1200? I enjoy the speed of it, but sometimes it's a bit uncontrolled when I have to stay on target for longer.

Good to see some non-Artisan options for speed pads. Neptune, Ninja and infinity speed seem solid. I also saw Kurosun Samurai used in VCT by yay, have you gotten to try it? Curious since I don't think it's released

Literally have the same thoughts as you do on this, great review brotha! And also you can wipe the pad with a microfiber cloth ez pz

Yo! What is the difference between Neptune and Neptune Pro? which one is better?
  • @teefuq
Is it a huge upgrade from Saturn / Saturn Pro?

Any thoughts about x-ray pad equate plus v2?

Just received the Standard 100cm x 50 cm Neptune and am lukewarm about it. I really like the speed of the pad and I feel better at gaming with it but I somewhat don't really like the feeling of the surface on the skin. Also the standard version feels kinda cheap compared to the standard Venus, Saturn and Mercury that I ordered last year (because the Neptune is 3mm instead of 4mm). I should probably have gone with the Pro.

My Hien is worn out at this point. What pad would you recommend that is comparable to the Hien? Or is there nothing like it atm?
  • @em1l480
I replaced my g640, which was already worn from the shit durability with the Neptune. Haven't arrived yet, but already exciting seeing a speedpad that doesnt commit su!cide after 2 weeks usage :D
