Pia became Ms. U 2015 unexpectedly while Cat's winning was expected by many people. For a very long time, Pia representing the Philippines regained the Miss Universe title. Details of Pia's activities before the day of the Ms. U pageant wasn't that exposed. She's not that famous unlike Catriona. People's support to Pia before was not that strong compared to Cat. So see, Pia won in spite of the lackness of exposure in the mediaworld and lackness of support. And her winning, I think, gave courage and confidence to those Pinay queens who represented Philippines for Ms.U after her reign. That's why, for me, she will always have a special part in the hearts of Filipinos worldwide. And that, no matter what, her influence would never fade. Btw I don't hate Cat. I'm just explaining in my own opinion why Pia is still that influential and close to the hearts of Filipinos though there's a new queen right now. Pia and Cat are both great.
