"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." – Michael Jordan

MJ really did stop a whole generation of ball players from winning championships & fostered a new generation that wanted to be just like him

Don't care what anyone says, that was the golden age of the NBA. Every team had a mega star but then there was MJ, not getting past him. What a great time to be a Chicagoan
The fact that Isiah Thomas was announcing this game makes it that much sweeter. He had to sit there and watch MJ have one of the best moments in NBA history and couldn't do anything to minimize it no matter how hard he tried.

Stockton was a beast! When he hit that three point in the end, I thought it was over...... but MJ doing GOAT things. I still have the DVD of all the Bulls dynasty.

Why am I still on the edge of my seat knowing exactly what's going to happen. One of the greatest finals in NBA history.

watched this live a week out of 8th grade - still leaves me in awe 24 years later. others come close, but this is still probably the most clutch, iconic, historically significant couple minutes of individual basketball effort i know of. Phil nailed it afterward - "beautiful"

So poetic. The undisputed GOAT. May be another 100 years until there’s another person close to MJ. Plus he played in the toughest era in the NBA. The greatest basketball player of all time.

This dude came through in the biggest moments, still have yet to see a player who has done more in big games

Funny how after 23 years later this is still rated as the most watched game in NBA history, it's not hard to see why.

When MJ was down and the pressure was mounting, he didn't look for a savior to rescue him or a scapegoat to provide an excuse as to why they lost. Instead, he took it upon himself to go and cease the moment. He wasn't afraid to fail. He is truly the Greatest of all time!

The greatest of all time, with a perfect ending to his Bulls career.

"Everybody has talent, but ability takes hard work.” - Michael Jordan

Its nuts. In the last 1:11 of live play no Bull touches the ball but Michael. He got a rebound, 2 free throws, a quick score, a steal and a game winner. The amount of pressure he played with and accepted is insane. His teammates allowed this because they knew he would bring them home in the clutch. How could his GOAT status ever be questioned?

Simply the best. Better than all the rest. Better than anyone. Anyone the world has seen. He did not switch teams or recruit superstars. He took one of the worst teams and made them the best. I was a Cavs fan in those days, but MJ stole my heart even when he put a dagger in the Cavs heart(over and over).
