Homeless encampments, illegal vending, obstructed and dirty sidewalks, and violent crime have been plaguing the area around 14th Street and First Avenue. Mayor Eric Adams announced his plan Thursday to finally put an end to it. NBC New York's Erica Byfield reports.

    I get that "people deserve better" Thank you for that statement. You are right about that,  Mayor Adams. Are the homeless, addicted and excruciatingly poor people deserving of anything? If you are a mayor of all New Yorkers, let's set up shelters for the homelsss and help them to survive HUMANELY. I believe then are PEOPLE, HUMANS. I happen to believe that all humans are people. And all deserve safety and some level of RESPECT. What is your believe about all New Yorkers, including the homeless, including the addicted, untreated vicitims of abuse and violence who end up unable to care for themselves? I will copy and send this more directly to the Mayor's feedback. I am glad he cares about people. I want him to represent people with compassion and those who care about all people. Not just the fortunate, but also the unfortunate, the unlucky. Thanks for reading

    Why can't he clean up ALL the streets. Why Manhattan. Cause. It's THAT type of neighborhood. Not the hood. (-_-) Please go somewhere else instead of creating crappy laws that don't do anything for anyone but bring confusion, pain and sadness to all now.

    How about helpin them instead of shoveling the homeless elsewhere . We can help support war overseas and migrants but no money for the ones here 👍

    What? I use the live on 15th street, one block over. If this is what is happening now, I'm glad I moved out of the city. the only thing I worry about are 4 legged creatures.
