Dont know why there are no comments but. no matter how fast his future suits got this suits first official flight will always be ironmans best flight. Because of the symbolic meaning of it not only started iron mans official journey but also started the mcu.

I always loved how much detail they put into the suits in this movie. Having the control surface flaps on his back move at 1:25, the HUD displaying the air traffic and the orientation of the horizon. Made it feel like a realistic, feasible aircraft. In all the later movies he just kinda flies and controls himself without the flaps somehow and the HUD is reduced to just some random blue shapes surrounding his face.

This is hands down my favourite scene from any Marvel movie. A brilliant mind flying his own creation that has previously been deemed impossible. I just love Robert's expression at 1:30. Rushed with adrenaline, flying at almost the speed of sound and he cannot believe it. That paired with the song is just perfect.

Absolutely love that metallic/computer echo sound at 0:06 when HUD is activated. Whole scene still gives me goosebumps the same way I watched it back in 2008, this never gets old.

I remember going bonkers in the theater when I saw this scene and so did everyone else. The music, the awesome effects and Tony trying to break records first time out is pure gold. I miss those days looking forward to the next masterpiece marvel faithfully churned out.
