I work in a Mercedes shop in Detroit, We instruct all techs to clean the hub with a scotchbrite disk and put a thin coating of never seize on the whole hub face. 100% needed in the rust belt.

After working on trucks all day when you work on a car it feels like playing with a toy

I just finished the exact same job except the pins and the calipers were all seized up. The pins were hard but not as bad as the calipers. I couldn't even move them by hand or with my foot. I used clamps, lubricants, jacks, hammers, etc. It took me 3 evenings to get it finished. But i'm glad i got it done.

Justin, put some Jack stands under there. You don't even have to set the car on them. You were very good to not get your body under the car if it fell, but a backup is a good idea. I dropped a car off a jack once and it was really scary and embarrassing.

I knkw all about the " can u do me a favor thing" i have a lift and all the tools one would ever need in my shop behind my house so it seems like everyoe always wants a favor. Ill tell ya after i installed my lift i suddenly had alot more friends. Lol
