I’m so happy for Marlan, what a guy
  • @YouTube
suddenly all feels right again 😌 welcome back, casey!!
  • Wow. I haven't watched Casey since he moved to CA (just kinda lost interest, not because of CA), and I gotta say. Wow. The aerial footage, the cinematography, the story telling (as always)- Astounding. Greatly improved while keeping everything we know and love about him. Nicely done.
  • The UPS guy greeting Casey at the end is EVERYTHING! Who doesn't want a "welcome back" like that!!
  • @PeterMcKinnon
HES BACK!! New York City just got a little brighter. So did YouTube 😂
  • @EeroHaapala69
Casey's 2015-2017 vlogs were some of the best content ever on Youtube.
  • @TraversyMedia
Welcome back to the East Coast! Love your vlogs, but the Cali ones seemed to be missing something.

I have chills. Casey needed New York, the world needed Casey in New York.

Something about Casey returning to NYC brings me so much inner peace
  • It’s like my dad went out for a pack of smokes & came back… years later…This man was the reason I became obsessed with YouTube. Casey- I tried LA, too. For 3 years. My soul ached every day for the city. I feel everything you said brother. Marlin’s reaction is exactly how I felt when I saw this on my feed. Welcome home Casey! I can’t wait to see you skating on the streets and yelling your name- again !
  • I am from ca, and when you left I remembered thinking to myself Casey is the embodiment of NYC. How’s he gonna survive CA. It’s not very obvious but CA and NYC are vastly different.. I’m so glad you are back there! NYC needs you as much as you need her!
  • Casey walking through that studio door dropping that electric skateboard made me happy. I don't know why it was like something I didn't realize I missed.
  • I don't know why but I cried at Marlon's joy. He was the mirror for all of us! Welcome home Casey.
  • My Canadian version of this was going from Toronto to Calgary then back to Toronto 😂. Something about walking through a city thats walkable, alive with music art and beautiful multicultural life going on all around you can really change your lifestyle. It was hard getting Calgarians to understand the feeling since most of them think that all Toronto is the CN Tower and Dundas square, similar to how people outside NYC think it's only times square and forget about the beautiful residential neighbourhoods that are packed in density. Toronto proper, inspired me through the beautiful vibrant walkable neighbourhoods like St Clair west, Little Italy, Greektown, The beaches, Queen West, Midtown, High Park, Korea Town, Korea Town North, Little Jamaica, Liberty Village, Little Portugal, Roncesvalles, Cabbage Town, Riverdale, Mount pleasant and way more, all connected to streetcars and subways! Calgary is similar to L.A for the reason it is very car centric with wide roads, suburban sprawl, bad zoning laws, and smaller pockets of density spread out through long car rides. Cities like L.A, Huston, Atlanta, Calgary are so bad in urban design that I strongly believe it has a negative effect on the human spirit of creative people. This is coming from someone who knows how it is to live as a suburbanite.
  • As a third culture kid, I can definitely relate to the feeling of "your sense of self withering away in a place that just doesn't feel like home" and that feeling of wholeness you get when you're somewhere where you simply fit (like the lego pieces ahaha). Glad you're back to where you feel at home!
  • @Rons847
This is so refreshing. It’s like 2019 replayed. Marlan reaction represents all of us. Welcome back to NYC Casey.
  • I'm not exactly sure why but seeing Marlan again was like the highlight of this whole film!
  • @lloyddodgen
He's just soooo good at storytelling. It felt like coming home the whole way through, especially with the end. Like, we can expect new and amazing things for the future.
