Running/frontrunning: Driving as fast as you can at all times to try and stay near the front. This is the normal way to play mario kart, but your items will be worse on average, and you will be susceptible to attack items like red shells, green shells, fire flower, boomerang, bananas.
Bagging: waiting near last place for good items (bullet bill, shock/lightning, star, golden mushroom, mushrooms) and using them to make a comeback. This lets you get to 10 coins and stay away from attack items, and you can potentially dodge the shock or do item smuggling.

I have not played mariokart in years, one of your videos popped up and I started watching all of them. After binging them I loaded up mariokart again and tried online out for the first time. Went from 1000 rating to 1500 in a couple of hours. Really enjoying the game again!

"I think front running is better than bagging" This is one of the greatest anime betrayals of all time. I am shacking and crying, and I'll never be able to play Mario Kart again.

This style with front running is a lot more entertaining imo. Also glad to see this PAX-Shortcat rivalry, feels like an anime where a high level character is having fun sparring with a promising high potential lower level character

Shortcat, can you make a video on tips and tricks with items? You’ve done shortcuts for some maps in your shorts, what the best combos are in wave 5, now how about tricks you can do with items? Example is like dodging a blue shell with a mushroom or steering the bullet bill. It could help with new players like me. I hope you like my suggestion :)
