I've been listening to these kind of playlist for a while but this is the first one where I actually enjoyed every song. Well done, my friend
  • It's strange, knowing how someone will die. Better yet, it was odd to see it happen exactly how you'd imagine. Iona watched her target down the glass of champagne, unaware of the poison that tinted the gold with a faint blue. It was a fatal dose, but it wouldn't be the thing to end him. No, That right was reserved for later. Two minutes later, he choked on his own tongue and vomited a dose of blood. But the assassin wasn't there to see it. The man in gold was carried to his room and laid on the bed by two guards, both half-giants, and a medic, a drow-looking woman. The woman carefully held his wrist and felt his pulse, the foam in his mouth and the pain in his bones a thick restraint against his warnings. It would have been too late anyway. Two arrows whistled out from either side of the room the moment the door was closed, and both found purchase in the necks of the guards. Even if they survived the impact, they were dead by the time their faces met the floor. The man in gold could only watch in horror as his assassins stepped out from the magical shadow. A sharpened butcher's hook gleamed in the candlelight as a masked girl in oversized clothes stepped forward. From the other side of the room, an elderly man with crooked front teeth that gleamed grinned eagerly as he reloaded his crossbow. A hand took the girl's shoulder from the dark as a blue-skinned tiefling woman with dark horns and moon-white hair came forward, her own crossbow leaned over her shoulder and a pleased smile across her face. Then, the medic at his side smiled as the disguise dissolved to reveal a young, half-elven man in pirate's clothing. "You owe us a death," he said softly, an eager dagger in his hand. Iona tilted her head goadingly as her previous captor choked on his own blood, safe in the company of her crew, and let the candlelight gleam in her eyes from behind the broken mask. It's strange, knowing how someone will die. Better yet, it was odd to see it happen exactly how she imagined it.
