There is so much awesome happening with this LT1 Camaro. First off - its running an OLD SCHOOL LT1 from back in the day! Secondly, a rear-mounted, 88mm turbo has been added, allowing A/C and power steering to stay with the roomy engine bay …and Thirdly - its capable of MID 7’s at 185mph!!! WHAT?! We NEED to see this beast on Drag Week next year! Hats off to the owner!

  • He was cut off @ 1:28 into the video when he was trying to explain that the car is good for mid sevens at 185mph. Reason being is because when you see the interior, he is not running a certified ten point cage, let alone a ten point cage period, which is mandatory at 8.50 so he is clearly holding back to avoid getting booted from the track. Killer car...

This car is mad slept on. In person, it's cartoonishly fast..... it's truly wicked fast.

-"what's under the hood?" - "LT1. [long pause] Oh, and I have a turbo in the trunk"

I get a good vibe when this guy interviews people that they are not annoyed with him. This tells me he is a real cool guy, and I respect his people skills.

I love that this is a street/drag car with all the amenities of a street car plus more.
  • @tptrsn
Coolest, most impressive combo I've seen in a while. Thanks for this video!!

Everybody trip'n if its an original LT1, it goes 8's. And its not an LS. Good ol sbc power.
  • Nice to see another non LS powered car. As an owner of an gen 2 LT1 powered Impala SS I know the potential these motors have. The early Optispark design and location gave these engines a bad rep. Once you fix those issues, it's as good as, if not, better than any other SBC.

  • @Buelligan88
Amazing.  The rear turbo seems like a good strip application.

I've always wanted to do something with my 95 Z28. But it is also the year between OBD1 and OBD2 which is an absolute nightmare to try and tune nowadays without taking it to a professional shop. I absolutely love the sound of the LT1 and the massive torque in first and second compared to the LS1.
  • @morphman21
