Using an easy-to-learn, 'whole hand' playing style, Barbara Gail teaches us how to connect with and give voice to the elements Earth, Air, Fire and Water, through the drum, in this 4-part series. She learned this relationship between the elements and the drum strokes from percussionist Layne Redmond, who learned it from the Nubian musician Hamza El Din.
Includes an extended play-along with MULTIPLE RHYTHM PATTERNS that incorporate the EARTH stroke, can be played on frame drum and tambourine, and broaden your drumming vocabulary.
