Reminds me of an offshoot of my 8th grade english Teacher. He took me aside as a young budding Musician. And, told me to stick with Rockabilly. I kinda laughed. He was serious! I didn't see him for a few years after moving up north. His name was Ray Campi and he led the Rockabilly Rebels. A great big Upright was his stage. He was a short little guy. And when he opened up about music, I was hooked. His words stay with me today. Never give it up. If you do, start planning your funeral. I'm pushing 70 years. I still write original tunes, after years of cover bands. These ol Boys represent what the old white Boys were putting down in the 1950s-1960s. My Step Dad brought me up on old hillbilly tunes. These ol Boys make me understand what us older guys can still do, until our passing. These Guys are straight up. My kind of Musicians!
  • This festival was self-promoted by all of the participating musicians. We had a great turn out! Santa Barbara concert series promoters aren't always onboard to support this kind of music or even hip to Electric Americana, but we showed them that the good people of Santa Barbara County like it and will come out in strong numbers to support it. Thank you, Stow House, for providing a beautiful setting for the Hillbilly Surf Stomp!
  • Awesome brothers! Your transitions are really solid. Great job and ya'll have some freaking awesome instruments with that bass and the hollow body, the drums look like Slingerlands.

Love it! I love the vibe, and the classic tones. Good stuff! This makes some sense.... in a World gone mad these days.
