During summer, Freshwater beach, in front of the British Antarctic Survey base on Bird Island, South Georgia is taken over by hundreds of breeding Antarctic Fur Seals. They males aggressively defend their harem of females, the noise of males fighting, "oof choofing", females calling to their pups, and pups calling back, is constant, day and night!
