Definitely watched Home Alone too many times and identified with the Wet Bandits a little too much.

There's a side chance that if he isn't super familiar with those kind of weapons...he might have thought it was a real one, and may have even tried to fire it but obviously nothing happened... You'd be surprised how much damage even a pellet can do if you get it in an artery or an eye... That's super sketch, and I'm glad you're ok <3 edit: there's also a decent chance he wasn't mentally aware enough to realize it wasn't a real gun...

It sounds to me like for the most part the guy was relatively harmless he didn't want to steal anything or tear stuff up. He by the sounds of it was homeless and just wanted to feed himself. Also i believe you mean to say pellet thrower.
