Honestly, If I had Isabela's gift, I would be that extra too. I would always have petals floating around me and I would always be entering every room from above 😆
  • "So Mirabel's gift is authoritarianism." No other reaction has made me laugh this hard. 🤣🤣
  • @RedK5
Still mad that Bruno was treated so badly and no one apologized to him

"Dos Oruguitas" is a song that was kept in the Spanish language in every country. This is a song that Lin-Manuel and Sebastián Yatra both said they wouldn't change.

I'm sitting here literally sobbing watching Abuela's backstory song and then Rizzo just had to say "GIVE US ANOTHER CANDLE YOU STUPID BUTTERFLY" and flap around.... I don't think I've ever laughed so hard while sobbing hysterically. Y'all are the best xD

Considering the culture, Mirabel being the next Abuela is a very huge honor. Most Latino/Hispanic cultures view grandmothers in very high honor, so to be chosen as the next family matriarch is a sign of validation of Mirabel’s familial skill/knowledge. She was the one to unite the family, after nearly a decade, and even brought new viewpoints to the villagers of the encanto. In the end, Mirabel reaps the most benefit by being giftless.
  • I don't know if you noticed this detail, but Dolores is singing super loudly during the final scene, her mouth is normally tight and small during the rest of the movie, this is the first time she's allowed herself to be loud and excited, because normally it hurts her ears if she does

I was so excited to see a main character in a Disney movie with glasses. I never had that as a kid! The most unrealistic part of this movie though is that she didn't have to clean them like 5 times a day 😂

Being from the Hispanic community, Louisa’s song has hit a lot of us older sisters in the face. It’s literally explaining the pressure that’s put on the older sister, it’s literally engraved in it culture for us to be the strong one. The one that holds the family together, especially into the next generation. This whole movie really hits home with the first born generation of immigrants in a new land and the trauma the older ones have that they never want to talk about. Me and my girls friends can talk about this movie and relate so much..

i've said it once and i'll say it again, antonio is my favourite character. that "i need you" line folds me like clean laundry.
  • @BillyBinges
We don’t talk about ✨Voldemort✨ i only got it cause I’m watching Harry P now but that was hilarious really 😂
  • @lucaleone4331
I love Luisa's song. Its not something I would have expected of a musical. Its really unique.
  • Stephanie Beatriz, Mirabel’s voice actor was in labor when she was recording Waiting on a Miracle. She didn’t tell them because she didn’t want anyone to worry. That was one of the reasons she could deliver the emotion in the song
  • @Excanda
My favourite part is when Bruno has finished the new prophecy and Mirabel growls he nonchalantly tosses it saying "every time".
  • @bluboy4ver2
After watching it a few times I realized that Mirabel's powers were always in effect because the house literally would react to her emotions even though it seemed to be controlled by Abuela. I also find it interesting that she gave Antonio a stuffed jaguar before he got his gift almost as if she curated which gift he would receive.
  • During Dolores’s part in “We don’t talk about Bruno” you can see Bruno’s shadow on the balcony nodding his head
  • @mydiary2760
A little detail. In the table when Dolores said "He wants five babies" and flowers came out of Isabela's hair, Abuela took out the only white flower because "it wasn't perfect"
  • @blainevanity6
A lot of people wanted them to remain powerless but I'm just glad that Casita is alive again.
  • Not sure of somebody already mentioned, but regarding Bruno's vision ritual: The creator said he doesn't actually need it at all, but as the visions are mentally very taxing he made the ritual as a coping mechanisms to ground him.
  • @enigmadrath1780
I always saw it as Isabella's powers is not being perfect, but being able to "grow" nature, i.e. every plant or tree imaginable. However, because she's the eldest child it was EXPECTED of her to be beautiful, dainty and perfect so from the moment she got her powers she was expected to only grow pretty cultivated flowers and blossoms. It isn't until her confrontation with Mirabel that she finally unleashed her literal wild side and started growing wild plants and trees, finally tapping in to her full powers.
