I've never understood how they can send Jason to jail for killing Joker in the diner. Should've got an award
  • I find somewhat funny how 90% of the Joker's deaths are either from a broken neck or falls from great heights.
  • Joker is not Criminally insane, just clinically! In order for someone to be Criminally Insane, he has to prove that he is genuinely unaware of what he's doing. Joker is aware, and enjoys it very much.

Let's be honest. In real life, the Joker would have already been killed many years ago, most likely by a cop feigning to use self defense at the time of his arrest
  • I love how he always wins somehow, whether it's staying alive or getting the last laugh before he dies

I always thought that Bruce was hallucinating Joker’s last words in The Dark Knight Returns and that his head turning and neck cracking as he laughed was Bruce coming back to reality.

In a parallel universe Superman: "I can't believe I just killed him. No one, especially Superman, should kill in cold blood, even if the victim is a monster like the Joker. I will imprison myself in the Phantom Zone until my soul finds peace, like my "Generations" counterpart did." Batman: "I'm glad to hear that, Clark. I knew you were better than him in the end. And now, he won't do any harm anymore..." Joker Spirit: "F*ck!"

The Tim Drake of the DCAU universe had a truly miserable end. Instead of becoming a hero on his own, joining the Teen Titans and forming intimate bonds with Superboy and Spoiler, he just a got an intense trauma for the rest of his life and had to permanently leave his career at such young age

Speaking of "A Death in the Family," I've always found pretty fascinating the alternate page the authors made in case fans voted for Jason to live, which shows a blissful Batman holding Jason's body while yelling, "He's alive! Thank God!" I wonder how the Batman stories would have continued from that point if that page was the one used at the end. Anyway, it was colored and featured in "Batman Annual 25", the special issue that tells how Jason was revived, as "the reality that should have been", according to the narrator. They should have definitely adapted it for the interactive film
  • No matter how many times the Joker has died, he’ll always come back for the Bat Family.

Joker's like the Kenny/Optimus Prime/Kung Lao/Shaak Ti of the DC universe, when you think about how many times he has died.

In batman TAS there's actually lore to every single time joker somehow miraculously survive, like when he fell into the chimney, his fall was broken by a bunch of random junk, causing injuries for a while but with help from DC universe magic (dr freeze) he was put into full health

Harley: “PUDDIN’! “ Bats: “ by this point he probably is “
  • 30:58 I slammed my desk in excitement. So many people leave this out. I love Cal Kestis as the Not-Joker

4:06 full honesty, when I first came across the scene, I chose to take the moral high route and spare the Joker. After all, Jason made a promise to Batman: he will not kill. And yes, due to his mental breakdown he has killed multiple times but with the joker he would have to make the conscious choice to kill him the rest of them at least you could write off with temporary insanity. But this would be an active disgrace of Batman‘s wish.

The real ending of that first bit would be “Look it’s the joker. He was gonna bomb an orphanage or something.” And the police would’ve been chill.
